Morrell looks the goods but can he take a punch? He loads up and telegraphs every punch, which would be a big problem vs someone like Benavidez. It might be a war or Benavidez might smash him pretty fast in a gun fight, we really don't know. I think its a ****** match up for both of them at this stage anyway, with Morrell being too high risk and no reward for Benavidez with a Canelo fight around the corner.

Morrell looks great but if you factor in degree of difficulty it's hard to pick him over Benevidez except on a hunch

We don't care about the cherries you beat quick. I'm talking top level fights when your fighting somebody who's there to win. Morrell would be better served to get that before fighting benavidez.

I'll bet you if they fight next that David wins. Loser gotta leave boxingscene.
Two fight went into the twelve round, his third fight (not too many fighters are going straight to a 12 rounds in their 3rd professional fight), and his 8th, where he Koed Aidos, which mean he carried his power for the full fight. If you check benavidez, he has gone 12 three times (twice with the same guy), I don't see much difference. So, Morell jr has gone 12 twice in 9 fights, benavidez three times in 27 fights. I accept your bet.
By the way, benavidez was facing no hopes until his thirteen fight, I guess he was garnering experience, first 12 fights opponents record, 54W60l, what do you think?

The plant fight is the experience he needed. He was losing rounds and never wavered. That's how you elevate. Competition.

I got benavidez but it's irrelevant until they sign

I agree, the fight has to happen. I got Morrell Jr. And I still don't see any difference, he fought plant and struggled. Morell jr is a complete different fighter than caleb, that's the difference.

Telegraph his punches? I don't know from where you getting that. The reward is for the fans and the winner.

I think its WAY TOO SOON for Morell to challenge someone of ELITE capacities with so little experience. He needs to go to Europe and whip on their top 10. I he could fight the top 4 there and whip them easily, then come back a d challenge Benividas.

Not sure yet who wins because we just haven't seen enough of Morrell, especially at the highest levels. He certainly seems like the goods, but I do know I'd like to watch the fight.
