From the 2nd fight on he has face nothing but guys with winning record. There's no going back now, he skipped the bum of the month record padding.
Just stating that Aidos is comparable to Roamer but would likely lose to him, never discussed how the Colombian would fair with Morrell, that's a different story. Just stating that DM still hasn't faced a fighter in the same caliber as a World Champion although 168 has a shallow talent pool.

I don't think it matters if fighters polished their skills by working their way up debuting early or heavily competing in the amateur system. What matters is the substance of their record, the level of opposition they faced, who beat the better ranked contenders or world champions.

So far, it has been Benavidez at a similar age, even at a major disadvantage against Plant with the ref Bayless:

    -Let him overuse the clinch.
-Let him recover whenever he got hurt and disrupt DB's rhythm/pace.
-Applied no penalties after multiple low blows.

They're some fans that don't see gray, only black and white. Talking that benavidez will ko, and I'm not saying that won't happen, Morell jr inside 3 rounds, 6 rounds, etc... but for them this already happened, it's a fact. No need the fight to happen. Common guys this is a real good fight no matter the outcome. Two undefeated fighters in their or entering their prime. I remember zarate vs zamora, Sanchez vs Gomez, although Wilfred didn't took Sanchez as serious as he needed, Leonard vs Hearns, not undefeated but in his prime. All of them were okay, not zamora, I think, after they fought.

I agreed that the talent pool is very shallow, and that's why canelo unified the division so easily, let's remember that happened after benavidez lost his belt, if not I don't think canelo would've unify that easy. But here we are, two young boxers on a collision path, who will win? I don't know, I hope is Morrell Jr, one thing for sure the fight needs to happen for us to find out, and you haven't seen a fighter like Morrell Jr facing the kind of competition he have face, with only 9 fights, not benavidez, not canelo, well ginger started as a ww, I'm talking about SMW. If they sign the contract Morrell Jr management believes he's ready, and benavidez people think he's going to be the victor. No matter what happens, it's commendable, especially in the stage that boxing is.

Experience, ring iq, resume, and fundamentals. I also never stated that Benavidez would walk over him. Don’t say Caleb Plant because that proves that Benavidez is fighting competition leagues above Morrell’s? Lol

No you didn't say he would walk over him, you said at this point he will school him, which to me is very similar, percepción perhaps. I said not caleb, because he really is not elite, and ref or not, he did struggle with plant. Seems to me that Morrell Jr possess all those attributes you mentioned. Even experience against 9 fighters that total 160W18L, some of them durable fighters. I think I ask you if you could mention one fighter with that kind of opposition in only 9 fights, past or present. Let me add that benavidez started fighting these similar boxers in his 14 or 15 fights, maybe 16, not sure now. I know you want to see the fight, I don't think is going to be a schooling, a good fight indeed. Be safe

Benavidez by late tko, if they fight next

Morell will be up on the cards at the time of the stoppage but Morell inexperience in 12 round fights will be his undoing against Benavidez. Morell will gas out late

Morell jr fought his first 12 rounder in his third fight. From that one on, he's been fighting 12 rounders, the thing is that only one has going the full twelve, and the other he knock him out in the twelve. That's experience for you.

1 fight went the distance. That's called inexperience in 12 round fights.

We don't care about the cherries you beat quick. I'm talking top level fights when your fighting somebody who's there to win. Morrell would be better served to get that before fighting benavidez.

I'll bet you if they fight next that David wins. Loser gotta leave boxingscene.
