    The heavyweight division is DEAD

Fury is playing fool, Wilder is doing nothing, Joshua is fighting bums. Parker is in decline, but he already got his piece of pie. Usyk is waiting on mandatories.

The most of other guys are spending the best years doing nothing, waiting on Fury, Joshua, Wilder or Usyk to fight them.

The division is dead. Contenders and fringe contenders should fight each other.

And yet few divisions are any better. Welterweight? Middleweight? Light heavyweight?

The top guys refuse to fight each other. It's pathetic.

This is why Brits shouldn't hold the HW crown, they don't know how to manage it. ****** fkin c*nts!

Lennox was different because he claimed other countries as well.

You have a few contenders and dark horses still in the horizon. It is not dead yet.

              Parker never was a force.

Overall, boxers today fight less than in the older days. Most HWs fight just twice a year. AJ fought Usyk, then Jermaine, and will fight again in Dec. Fury fought in December and will probably fight again in June/July and in Nov./Dec. Wilder fought against Helenius and has started pre-camp meaning he expects to fight in June/July and then again in Nov. Dec.

The 3 reason it looks dead is that
              1. We have had so few fights in the 2020-2022 timeframe,
              2. It wasn't the fights fans wanted for the most part, and
              3. Outside of these 3-4 HWs, most others are boring and not fighting competitive fights.
One can say the top 3-4 aren't fighting each other either but at least they have a name that elicits some interest. If the second-tier fights no-names, it is dull and boring and generates no interest which is why interesting fights are so rare and the division looks dead. Bad in the day, contenders and second-tier fought a lot more. Even champs and top-tier would fight 3 times a year.

They should should bribe the WBC to get easy touch mandos and KO bums in bingo halls in front of 200 people for years, like the last US "champion"

We had a nice little period last year where things got moving...

Usyk v Joshua, Whyte v Fury, Ortiz v Ruiz, Zhang v Hrgovic, Joyce v Parker... all good fighters fighting each other.

I suspect it was because the belts were covered and the biggest names had fights booked (except for Wilder who was on his comeback).

No indications yet that we'll get the same. Right now everyone is looking at the big names and waiting to see what they'll do.

Usyk v Fury negotiations stalled the division in the same way Joshua/Fury/Wilder negotiations and contract shenanigans did.

Personally I'm looking forward to Joyce Zhang. That's got potential to be a fun fight.

It hasnt lived up to its potential thats for sure. We didnt even get the two biggest possible fights in the division after like 5+ ****ing years of waiting.
