Anyone else surprised with this sudden importance in fighting a middleweight champion who hasnt even been in the ring for nearly two years? Haven't seen anyone mention charlo at all apart from andrade a few months back. Bit of a strange statement from reynoso. I thought canelo was focused on the bivol rematch?

because two white brits held belts at the 168 and another white brit is now his mandatory and that mandatory at 168 and comes before the wbc mandatory Benevidez. The alphabet belts agree between them what sequence the mandatories fall in and Ryder comes next. He chose to fight Bivol at 175 rather than Benavidez which a lot of people thought was the harder fight. Like it or not he hasn’t really avoided anyone. Given Canelo’s resume its pretty ridiculous to suggest he’s avoided anyone.
Canelo has been avoiding most of the big fights. Not hating, but most of the time he fights white Brits. He fought 3 white dudes to be Undisputed, while avoiding a Mexican Benavidez.
Benavidez is a mandatory now, so what is Canelo going to do? He will fight another white Brit for the WBO mandatory, but not Benavidez for the WBC mandatory fight. He can't beat Bivol at 175. Now looking for a Charlo fight? Inactive MW.Comment

Am just calling what I always hear on here so no need to get all bent outta shape about it. By the way, it is literal and just a way certain ones on here like to discredit a fighter they don't like so am not sure why you are trying to rationalize it to me. Explain it to them instead 'cos I haven't discredited anyone. I am pretty certain if David had gotten to Plant first and Canelo then beat him after that, the narrative will be different and those are the facts cos the Canelo hate is insane afterall they think all he's beaten is Euro bums and has beens.
What silliness is this leftovers bullshxt? Name 3 other fighters, besides Cinnabon and Benavidez, in the division better than Plant at this moment in time. Plant is in his prime, a former champion, and had a good fight with Ginger until he landed a shot in the late rounds. Don't try to discredit Plant as an opponent after you gave Cinnabon major credit for beating him. This was Plant's very next fight after Canelo, with one loss, so that leftovers shxt makes no sense. His skills haven't diminished because he took the only loss of his career to Cinnabon.Comment

Let's just hope PBC/SHO can raise the financial requirements for this fight so we can get this fight over with. Unused titles/belts need to be circulated for other fighters to compete with.Another cool easy $50 million for the Mexican superstar, face of boxing Canelo Alvarez. Mr Jermall would want $20 million for this fight. There you go. Just wondering where uncle Al would get the money from. Charlo is not even that big of an opponent when it comes to the box office. Ratings on his fights are among the lowest on tv. Would uncle Al be able to recoup the investment?Comment

Canelo ducked Charlo for over 10 years, and now his trainer says that's an important fight that they wanna make? I'm not the best in math, but can someone help me add this BS up and make it make some sense to me please?Comment

*was an important fight AT 160. Now, not so much. Ryder, Bivol then Benavidez, in that order. Then maybe 'Mall will finally be ready to fight. I mean hes going on 2 years now w/o fighting, but for some CROOKED reason still has the wbc 160lb belt.Comment

Benavidez was his mandatory 2 fights before Ryder even came in the picture. Canelo chooses when he wants to fight a mandatory and which one, and the sanctioning bodies make it happen because they won't order the fight unless he approves.

There is no order when it comes to Cinnabon, he has clearly avoided fighters in multiple divisions and they didn't have the power to do anything about it. Its a corrupt system, but once we accept it, the outrage leaves, and it just becomes that boxer's normal mode of operation. I don't even get upset when he openly avoids certain fighters, but I definitely point it out.Comment

It wasn't quite 10, but it was a long time, from 154 to 160. Now that he's been inactive for 2 years and trying to recover from life issues, he's giving off cherry vibes, and Reynoso and Cinnabon can smell a sweet cherry from deep inside Mexico.Comment
