Now if he gets a tune up, fights and beats Benavides he will have a very strong case.
Charlo is not beating Benavidez plant was David's worse style match up.

    Benavidez carves charlo up brutally.

There's no money for such fight. They can't even guarantee a penny for Mr Crawford. Ruiz vs Wilder was scrapped. Ask Broner or Wilder or Ruiz.

It's really starting to look at a lot like they want to duck Benavidez... I'd rather have that fight at this point even over the Bivol rematch, if only to get it over with. Charlo shouldn't even have a belt right now. He's barely relevant. They probably want to pick him off while he's got tons of ring rust. Give him a short notice offer, so he can't get a full camp.

It's not going to be Canelo or DAZN that would foot the bill. It's another expensive fight for Showtime/PBC to think about.

If they wanted the fight they had plenty of time to make the fight and they didn't. This nothing but lip service.

What's your point? That doesn't mean Canelo's team won't try to negotiate a short notice fight for Mall with PBC.

There is no order when it comes to Cinnabon, he has clearly avoided fighters in multiple divisions and they didn't have the power to do anything about it. Its a corrupt system, but once we accept it, the outrage leaves, and it just becomes that boxer's normal mode of operation. I don't even get upset when he openly avoids certain fighters, but I definitely point it out.
agree with you that he’s a law unto himself when it comes to mandatories. However you’re talking nearly 5 years ago now. He unified 168 that was his mission. Bar Yildrim who admittedly was lame, he just gathered belts at 168 then had an unsuccessful campaign at 175 but let’s face it he’s too small for 175 and it showed. But there wasn’t really a duck in there. How can you say someone who’s fought Mayweather, Cotto, Moseley, Golovkin etc etc ducks people? Charlo had fought no one and brought nothing to the table. Dazn outbid Haymon and Canelo wanted the belts that’s the truth of the matter.

When did I say anything about money? Not sure what you're on about. I was saying them talking like this looks a lot like ducking Benavidez, and also gives them a chance to take out Charlo while he's still got ring rust to shut up the people whining about how Canelo won't fight him. PBC promotes both Charlo and Benavidez, and they have wanted Canelo to fight those two for a long time. If they want to come up with money, they will. That has nothing to do with anything here.

oh yea of course its the 'right time' to make the fight now that there is a dangerous unbeaten fighter at 168 to avoid and charlo has been inactive
