He's being interviewed. Is he supposed to not talk? He's never ducked anyone either.

Seems people really aren't willing to give Haney credit.

I'm far from sold on Haney, I've been critical of him in the past especially the fake world title he held.

But the fact of the matter is he's a legitimate undisputed world champion now and he's facing a very tough fight in Lomachenko that he very well could lose.

        He deserves credit for that.

Haney is openly calling for respect because he is boring as hell to watch. He hits, holds, runs. He doesn't have great power.

If he beats Loma and makes it as boring as the Kambo fights, obviously have to give him the credit for the victory. But no one will ever care much about Haney because of his style and lack of power.

Yeah they would. Cause at that point Haney had fought no one. It was later he fought Linares Diaz after he was upgraded to the wbc belt.

That whole f*** up was because of wbc. But Lomachenko also for accepting franchise.

People will always want to see undisputed over mandatory so Loma wanting to fight Teo wasn't the issue that is the route he and the fans should have wanted. Only in this case do people now claim Loma ducked Haney. If Fury fought Usyk over a mandatory or vice versa would you call it a duck. Same case for other undisputeds, no.

like mentioned the issue was the whole franchise crap which also robbed Teo off undisputed to me he was undisputed. What i don't get is why Loma accepted franchise, the teo fight would have been for undisputed so wbc should have sanctioned it without bringing the franchise crap into it

Loma has been over rated his entire professional career. Gret amateur, good pro career. Another media darling that proved to not be a great as he was sold.

Old is not just a number, it's about how you're performing.

Some guys like Wilfred Benitez & Mike Tyson are old at 28

Other guys like Bernard Hopkins & Archie Moore were still "prime" in their 40s.

This is why you have to actually watch the sport and not just look at numbers.

Loma's prime was from Gary Russell Jr. to Guillermo Rigondeaux

That's almost 6 years ago, now.

His decline has been obvious since he moved up to 135 & fought Linares

                That was 5 years ago.

Crawford's still performing at near his highest level. There's been no slippage.

                That's the difference.

Loma depends on a speed and reflex advantage..... plus at 135 he is fighting larger men. Loma has low power and strength for 135

Crawford could easily fight at 154 if he wanted too, he is a full size welterweight and depends less on speed

Haney knows all of this of course and he knows hes expected to win and knows they FINALLY took this fight when Loma is looking 5 years past his prime now.

35 is VERY OLD for a speedy lightweight who belongs at super featherweight.

Haney is just going to try to grab the credit as if he beat a prime Loma.
