Comments Thread For: Devin Haney: "Crawford Older Than Loma, Is He Old? No, Don't Say That Loma Old"

This racist prick still doesn’t understand that not every fighter is the same. Some fighters peak sooner than others. Specially when they have a more extensive amateur background like Loma with two gold medals. Truth is Lomachenko has been over the hill and Devin and his coward father requested for the wbc to give them a voluntary defense instead of fighting Lomachenko when they had their fake belt . And now that Loma is washed up and looked terrible in his last fight all of a sudden Devin wants to fight him asapComment

Well a big difference between Crawford and Lomachenko is that Crawford has a big reach advantage over everyone he fights while Lomachenko has normally a big reach disadvantage against his opponents, even Rigondeaux. Crawford also cuts more weightComment

Now he’s fighting Haney because he lost to Teo unexpectedly and then the war happened. In the interim, Haney got all the belts. So he cant avoid him anymore.Comment

He got avoided. He got labeled an email champ. He took crappy deals and joined TR just to get title shots.
Teo, loma, Ryan and Tank all making sure he never got to fight them.
If you dont like him, cool. You dont have to. If more
boxers conducted themselves like Haney, the sport would be much better.Comment

Remember Tyson at 35? Was he old? At 35 he was a shadow of himself whereas Klitschko was still very close to his prime at 35. Age affects boxers differently, but generally in boxing if you are 35 you are almost never in your prime anymore. Still you might be damn good, but no longer in your prime, which can be all the difference between winning or closely losing. 30 y.o. Loma would have been a favourite against Haney who looks like a welterweight, btw.Comment

Devin Haney is still young hasn't noticed all the patterns.. Those saying Loma is old are just laying the ground and providing a rational in case Loma looses. Loma himself doesn't believe that stuff.. he knows that by going to 135 he was putting himself at a disadvantage but, he wants the challenge and he wants to be the very best Loma possible..no regrets just grit and determination.Comment

Of course he is begging for respect. Hes been unfairly disrespected for doing everything diehard fans say they expect fighters to do.

Respect him as a fighter but the kid is a dislikable little brat who’s nowhere near as good as he thinks he is and resorts to crying like a b**** to try and get some credibility.Comment

Actually, yeah, he is old in terms of boxing. Especially at the lighter weights. If Crawford or Loma were heavyweights, I'd say, they can still get a few more solid wins before calling it the quits. At Lightweight and WW though? Yeah, no, you need to be super special to win over 35 yrs old against young guns in their prime that are supposed to be "special".
Loma and Crawford are both old. Just another reason Crawford-Spence became the new Pac-Jr. fight. It is well past due its expiration date. If the fight was made tomorrow and Crawford lost, but it was a close fight, I would argue that a fresher, younger Crawford in his early 30s would have took the W.Comment
