So knowing what we know now, what is next for Jaron Boots Ennis?

What will Espinoza do now? It appears the buck stopped with him and he blocked the fight from happening. The same guy who was blaming GBP from making the Jermall/Munguia happen. Which was silly when he can't even make Jermall fight the guys in the PBC house like Adames, Lara, Morrell, Benavidez, Plant...

That's not his style of picking opponents, maybe Rocha or Broner, but Boots would be a definite NO.

No, the buck always stops with the fighter, in this case it's the father Bozy, who had the final say. Can't imagine any promoter/network exec unilaterally making decisions without consulting the fighter. Espinoza may not have welcomed the offer and may have stated middle ground pros and cons, but eventually passed the ball on Bozy's lap.

Fact that Bozy accusing BLK of "trying to be 'slick' for attempting to make the fight" means Bozy didn't want it in the first place.

That's ridiculous. Ennis is signed with D&D promotions to an EXCLUSIVE network deal with Showtime. Unless Bozy wanted to destroy his relationship with Showtime and breach the contract, he couldn't accept an offer to fight on an App no matter what they offered. The fight would have had to be on Showtime, unless BLK was willing to pay an exorbitant amount to Showtime to be the lead promoter. I highly doubt that Showtime would concede that right to an upstart app company anyway.

This sport is so totally fckd up. When competition can't happen because promotional companies are blocking it and when fans support that shyt, there's little hope of improvement.

You people were accusing Crawford of ducking Ennis and ran with Boots' "I would have accepted the offer in a heartbeat" mantra, and that he's being avoided. And now you're saying this. Come on man, let's stop treating people like they're all dumb.

Yep. It's truly insulting when they say he's being ducked when the truth is the exact opposite. It's like adding insult to injury. People have lost all sense of decency. You'd wonder what they teach young kids around them.

He would accept an offer from Bud the free agent, he couldn't accept the offer from Bud that's promoted by BLK PRIME on a one fight deal. There's a huge difference. Stop defending so hard, and take the time to consume the facts. Bud, as a free agent, presents no network problems, Bud signed to BLK, has to fight on the app, that's the reason they were willing to overpay, in order to use him to bring attention to the app. Get it. Showtime is not going to give up a championship fight between Boots and Crawford to an upstart app streaming service.

That's the only offer on the table. Nothing from Showtime, NONE. It would be silly to expect any offer coming from a free agent with no network backing. Don't you think so? This is simple common sense. No rocket science required. Ennis is the only one who is in that position.

When the Avanesyan fight was being spread around, Boots was saying he would have accepted the offer in a heartbeat. It's the same BLK offer. What else would it be? Crawford was approached by BLK and Frank Warren, Avanesyan's promoter.

There's nothing to spin here bro. Nice try, though.
