This bull**** right here is why Loma gets so little respect from casuals. It's a lie and everyone knows it. Boxing scene is getting close to boxing24/7 territory with this clickbait bull****.
Lomachenko’s team did request to become Franchise Champion.

      Does the truth hurt?

why is the fight stalling all the time, just get it signed and done, money i presume, i think loma is asking for a bit more than haney is willing to do & haney is topdog now so loma needs to back down and take his cut for a big fight

Loma didn't request it. He was approached and he was told it was being offered. He took it as a high sign of respect and accepted on that basis. If he had or had not accepted, Haney was not in focus. The final belt was. A mando could not be called regardless of the franchise belt. That's key. Undisputed trumps Mando. Besides who orders a mando a few weeks after a fighter wins a belt. They let the dust settle. The night Loma accepted Franchise, at the ceremony in his acceptance speech he said he will honor it and represent it well and said, after the title fight 4 the last belt, he wanted to fight in order, Tank and Haney in 2021. Tank been ducking Loma since both were at 130. Haney wasn't priority to Loma, over Tank. But Haney was on the list, to honor the Franchise designation, of fighting the best available. After Loma lost the belts, Haney wanted nothing to do with Loma until he won the belts first. All this talk that Haney has been calling out Loma for years is a bald face lie perpetuated by condensing events and history into a sound bite.

Lomachenko’s promotional team contacted the WBC to request Franchise Champion status.

That’s a fact. Straight from the mouth of Mauricio Sulaiman.

Because Sulaiman is so well known for his honesty and integrity, and he'd never try to cash out on well known champions recognized on the P4P list so he can get sanctioning fees from multiple people.

Consider the source, people. Sulaiman even admitted in the same interview that the whole thing happened in Ukrainian and he has no idea what Loma was told.

Meanwhile Loma has said he had no idea that it was requested etc. Who stands to gain by having more recognized fighters paying them sanctioning fees and has investment in shading the truth? Loma just wants to unify belts and become undisputed. He's been clear about that for many years.

I love that you all think Mauricio Sulaiman is some paragon of honesty one moment when it allows you to attack one boxer, but then criticize him and call him a liar in the very next moment about something else.

Regardless, Loma is getting his 4 year overdue ass whipping

I don’t know about the whole thing being in Ukrainian.

But Top Rank requested Franchise Champion status for Lomachenko. It is what it is.
