Interesting... why don`t i believe this info... Maybe cause i live in the country with one of the highest level of corruption in the world...

Anyway, can anybody tell me, was this fight really so expected that so many people paid their moeny for it?

if you think JMM sold this fight..u sniffin household cleaners!!! JMMM's previous fight against Diaz was where? at the toyota center in houston? did he do even close to 1million ppv buys? mmmnah, matterof fact, i dont even think it was ppv, i believe it was free!!.. just a classic example of "no such thing as bad publicity"!!FLOYD is the DRAW!! PERIOD!Hell Marquez an Pac only did 400,000 buys! Dela Hoe Ya and Pac did 1.25 mill in buys, while Floyd and De La did over 2 mill in buys!! STOP PLAYIN!! Floyd knows how to put asses in seate! the numbers and trends point to Floyd baby!

Whoa! and Amazing! and Kudos to Money Mayweather! I thought from the beginning and that most other boxing fans would too --- Marquez was to small to compete with Mayweather. Mayweather is not a fighter but a safety first boxer. And because of that, this would be a box office bomb ---- wow. But, me being a hard-core boxing fan I bought the fight anyway. Well, he definitely has captured the public eye (not just hard-core boxing fans) and I for one am happy about it because I love boxing and this kind of interest will keep it alive! But, I agree with comments about how this mismatch might turn-off fans (hope not). Now, lets hope Mayweather fights someone his own size --- like Sugar Shane Mosley. Now that will be a Fight! But, it will be Pacman, because there will be an unbelievable amount of money that will be made.

PBF is american, it better sell. JMM I'm sure brought a lot to the table, as I'm sure a lot of Mex-Americans wanted to see their boy triumph.

I'm still glad it sold this much. It's both good and bad for the sport. Fight was boring as hell, but shows it's alive and kicking.

I still believe HBO inflates the numbers in every PPV like Dan white does.

I still dont believe they hit the Mill mark!!!
so in the same breath u should say the numbers for cotto/marg was a lot less than hbo reported too, right?

didn't think so! now go to the store and purchase that new drink that the pbf haterz drink, STFU Juice!

because of people like you who want to see floyd lose. Also, because Floyd is a great self promoter, WWE, Dancing with the Stars, AT&T comercial. Then there are the people like me who actually like to watch a two master boxers box. I mean after all the sport is called "boxing" right??? If you want to see fighting, go watch UFC.

This is good and bad! First of all I am shocked!!! I did not think Floyd would pull this off....but he did and Cong****. It's not that great of news because if it was anyone's first time really trying to get into the sport...they may have just been turned off. The main event was a snooze fest....unless you're really into boxing like myself. The undercard was nothing spectacular...except for the first fight of the night. PAC vs Cotto....should do close to a million....but we'll see....

I wonder what the UFC did?? Dana is probably highly upset right now...but what can he expect everyone is catching on...that the UFC is not as great as people try and make it seem....

Why so upset guy? The man has a point! What just because HBO says they hit a mill, they did! Get a grip! HBO has lied to fighters lied to promoters! Y wouldn't they fudge the numbers! And I'm not saying they did! Just saying I wouldn't and you shouldn't put it past them!
