We can all agree Spence next fight wont be against a no hoper like avanesyan. Expecting same with Bud next opponent as well...Hopefully.

The only conclusion I can come to about the whole Bud Spence debacle.....Bud fought everyone Arum put in front of him. He basically begged for Porter and talked about wanting Spence for years. If you look at it purely objectively, you see that PBC holds up fights, protects their fighters, only really wants in house fights.
The comments from Spence at this point make it clear that he isn't aching to get in the ring and prove he is better than Crawford. They negotiated for months and it ain't that hard to make a fight. PBC is PBC. Crawford apparently gave in to all of it but realized he was on the outside and so wanted assurances, because he got zero guarantee. Spence is a PBC fighter, he gets what he gets and doesn't ask questions. If PBC played with numbers and did some dodgy ****, Bud could lose alot of money.
Crawford is not scared, wants his fair share and wants it all on the up and up. That is reasonable. Meanwhile Spence is way out of fighting shape, hurt, and saying we'll see, who knows. It just seems obvious that Crawford wanted the fight, PBC pulled and pushed and did what they had to do in order to keep it from happening. That isn't Spence hate, at this point it is more than obvious.Comment

Really? Crawford begged for Porter? The other way around, Porter had to shame Crawford into that fight.....called him out for 6 months while Crawford was strangely silent. Bud did not want that fight and as you saw over the first 6 rds. it was a close fight and Bud was mostly running and holding. It's a good thing Porter was basically done as a fighter and looking for one more payday.....not to mention his Dad making the way early stoppage to punish Porter for not training properly. Bud walked away from the negotiations with Spence while secretly looking for an easy fight and easier money. As Spence said, if Bud was up front and said look I've got big money for any easy fight on the table they could have broken off talks like gentlemen and revisited the fight in 2023.....not going to happen now.
Porter looked in great shape, fought a good fight. Bud caught him and stopped him. I find it hilarious that Spence fans act like Porter basically laid down. Im sure he wanted to get KOd. He retired because he got KO'd. Had he beat Bud he likely would have fought a few more times.
I like Spence and he isn't scared of Bud...but PBC and Spence know how big a risk it is, and if Spence gets stopped, he loses what little clout he has and as a PBC fighter, they want his 0 intact. Sorry.Comment

And both Spence and PBC know this.Comment

Porter was with PBC. Crawford asked Arum to get him the fight, repeatedly, that is who he begged. Porter, to his credit, did want the fight and got PBC to make it.

Shoes go on two feet if Bud gets stopped by Spence he is over and out TC also knows how big the risk is that's why he took easy money Avanesyan instead of Spence whom he would have made more money fighting.Comment

Porter retired and was mentioning retirement before the fight, that's one foot out the door and is not the same as when hungry, TC is a hell of a good fighter but don't go overboard his resume is not strong for being 35 yrs old.

What you just stated is true about his age. But at 35, with no promoter, that means that TC is obviously looking for big money fights and wants Spence. Spence meanwhile has a few more years of PBC promotions and that 0 is making him a sell to the casual fan. Spence has more to lose, certainly, and he isn't too keen on Crawford and the possibility of getting blasted.
At the end of the day, it has become obvious that both Spence and Bud are willing to fight, but that PBC has their own plans and they don't want Spence to take the risk. I like Spence, and the more I read the more I place it all on PBC.Comment

If anything, Spence returning in April/May makes the timing perfect for the Crawford fight.
Hopefully Spence doesn't want a tune up, I don't think he would really given his time at making weight is running out.
Crawford has his tune up, can rest and get a good camp in.
First fight for 147 undisputed, rematch at 154 or a catchweight like 151.
Both fights make the guys good money, winner comes out as pound for pound no.1 if they win both.
Fights Charlo (if he's still champ) for 154 supremacy.
Lots of money, lots of bragging rights.
I got bud winning at 147, dunno about 154 though.Comment

Spence ain't stopping Bud. He may UD him but he will fight Bud like he did Mikey, he will not engage, or at least try not to.

Spence can certainly stop Bud, there is no sign Bud has an iron chin and has been dropped by a lot less than what Spence brings, also who knows how he can handle a body attack like Spence can bring, but you have a crystal ball and know all things and if you say Bud cant be stopped that's engraved in stone lol.Comment
