PPV numbers are not the end all be all of what gives a fighter leverage in negotiations. If it’s considered to be a big fight its because of both participants. And regardless of the semantics about the usage of the word biggest or big or whatever words you want to use, the prospects of the spectacle of this event have been talked about more than any other fight has. I know for sure there is no other fight for Spence that is a bigger fight. And Errol Spence doesn’t get talked about by boxing media or fans anymore than Terence Crawford. Spence and his fans want to make it all about who has the most bargaining power, but meanwhile the whole time y’all and the media keep talking about and promoting Spence vs. Crawford. Its just starting to sound more and more like an arbitrary excuse to keep Spence from fighting Crawford. Spence and fans are too worried about being the A-Side, Big Fish and having Hella Options to realize that all of that talk is losing momentum and dwindling in significance in the public eye everyday. Its put up or shut up time.

I know because it takes two to tango and the fact that this has all been discussed openly by the media and both fighters in the public. If that were the case I’m sure Errol Spence would have mentioned it. To this day its only been Errol Spence fans and not the man himself that has suggested this conspiracy theory. Like how do you that the earth is round?! You can say I’m pissing in the wind all you want. But at least I’m going off of what has been put out in the public by the fighters and the media instead of some “how do you know” a s s alternative what secretly goes on behind closed doors theory.Comment

So if they offer him less money than before they wont have a valid reason according to you, I think they will analyze a projected revenue and then work backwards from there, they have a budget and negotiation must fit inside the budget, when you offer somebody an offer it will come with a justification in making that offer, a guys prior sell history will be a big deal in what they offer, the AB deal in fights is all about a guys ability to sell, TC is the B side to Spence as Spence would be the B side to Canelo who would be the B side if Floyd came back for a rematch, its all based of who brings in the most buys as to what they get in the split.Comment

If your running with whats been put to the public via the media and the fighters defending themselves, then how do you have a such a matter of fact opinion when there is two opposing sides and lots of contradictions, no chance the man on the stand is lying is there, I mean why would anybody say its not my fault, I have an opinion but there is no proof one way or the other so I'm sceptical, you understand how the media works right, they have an agenda and write with that in mind, and we are clowns at the sideshow where the media throw golf balls down your neck.
This is how most people are.

Spence's style is made for Bud. Grinding away inside with your head down and feet planted gives Bud more counterpunching opportunities. He will eventually clip Spence because even Porter did repeatedly. Once he gets you hurt, it's a wrap. The only finisher in boxing better than Bud may be Monster Inoue. I don't see Spence lasting 12.Last edited by hhh1200; 12-23-2022, 02:29 PM.Comment

First of all, they didn't offer him anything as far as a guarantee goes. So I don't see how they could offer him anything less than nothing. And we don't even know what percentage of the profits was offered in the deal. And no they don't have any valid reasons to try to offer him less money. That's absolutely ridiculous and sounds like another preemptive excuse for why the fight can't be made. If anything Terence Crawford has more leverage now after earning a $10,000,000 pay day. His name has been in the media everyday ever since the negotiations began. He is one of the most talked about athletes in the world right now. That counts for something. Stephen Espinoza of Showtime Sports admitted in a Fight Hype video that there is really not much difference in the popularity of each fighter. And he is definitely more on the Spence side than Crawford side. This is not an A side B side proposition. This is just a big fight that the fans want to see. And the difference between Spence and Crawford in drawing power is nowhere close to the difference between Canelo and Spence. Its not even in the same category. And the ridiculous comparison that is often used between De La Hoya vs. Mayweather and Spence vs. Crawford is also delusional. Errol Spence has nowhere near the level of popularity as De la Hoya had when he fought Floyd Mayweather or of Canelo when he fought Mayweather. These are completely incongruent comparisons that don't apply to Errol Spence because he has not achieved anywhere the level of fame and success as the people you are comparing him to. This is the fight that can catapult both fighters names into the stratosphere of popularity that the names that you mentioned achieved in their careers.
They did offer him a guarantee which has been reported from the other side by numerous people it wasn't high enough and he rejected it, just one of the contradictions you wanted, the other is transparency which he got and said he didn't, when the Muhammad Ali act makes transparency law and fighters must sign a form every fight, so Bud saying there was no transparency is BS.

Okay you must know how to decode The Matrix. Good for you. What contradictions? Can you site them? There's always a chance that anyone can tell a lie but that doesn't mean that I'm just going to assume that they're lying. I'm not into spinning things based on what I don't know. I'm not trying to be Sherlock Holmes on the case. Its just a boxing event not the court of law. Its backwards logic to use speculation and conjecture when there is enough actual information to go off in the public sphere to form an opinion. None of us know for sure what is going on or has gone on behind closed doors in the negotiations. My only point is that from the available facts that are out there in public view that in my opinion there is no reason that this fight can't be made immediately; conspiracy theories not withstanding.
Me personally I don't buy into media hearsay too much, its got to be congruent with undeniable sources which most of it doesn't have, the biggest red flag for me is Bud took off and made another fight, and there is no denying that the PBC side didn't know TC was doing that, Errol was down for one fight and was left with no fight, in my mind that tells me Bud did not want the Spence fight at the time of the negotiation after saying he agreed to all terms, then came up with transparency with Ive already shown with Ali Law is BS.Comment
