[QUOTE=handler000;6173675]You're looking at this as a typical Pretty Boy nuthugger would. Im looking at this as a fan of the sport. If Pac beats Cotto and Floyd beat Shane there can be no argument that the two best guys (who beat the previously two best guys) in the division would be fighting each other. How can that NOT make it bigger? Like I've already stated, it adds legitimacy which in turn would create even more interest from die hard and casual fans alike, right along the lines of Leonard-Hearns and DLH-Trinidad. If you can't grasp this you are either 1, to ******, or 2, to big of a ***** to want him to chance his payday by fighting the top welterweight in the division. If Floyd just beats Manny, Shane still has a claim to the number one spot in the division. It really shouldn't be that hard for you to understand.

All that 50/50 talk is nonsense, you can still get the smaller pct and still make much more money. Gate, PPV revenues, airing in different countries, etc. The purse is guarantee money, no telling how much a big fight can make with all the other incentinves
Not only that, Pac is not even done fighting Cotto, unless they say he got injured and gets out of the fight. As we saw last week size does matter, even on a loss I think Floyd would still fight Pac. Floyd does not take any chances, if he takes the Mosley fight I'll think differentlyLast edited by TOBYLEE1; 09-24-2009, 07:49 AM.Comment

[QUOTE=JAB5239;6174007]No it wouldn't take long for you backwoods people to start name calling. You are not looking at it from a fan point of view; more like a promoter.

[QUOTE=JAB5239;6174007]If Floyd and Pac were to fight tomorrow would you watch it? Would the avg fan watch it? Would it be huge? All three questions would be yes. It would not make the fight bigger than what it already would be if Floyd fought Mosley. Do we want to see Floyd fight Mosley? Yes we do. Whether you're a Floyd fan or Floyd hater, you want to see that fight. But the avg fan wants to see Floyd vs Pac. Hell the avg fan still thinks Pac actually has a chance against Floyd. Fact of the matter is that these are the two biggest names in boxing right now, and I'm not sure if this fight can get much bigger than what it is right now, unless Floyd sr. and jr. have another falling out, and sr. goes to pacquiao's training camp so we would have that extra little twist.
