Did you put your thick eye glass on when you read this? The reason why the much awaited fights between the two would not push through will be just because of purse sharing disagreement as the main standing block. If PBF is still dillusioned that he is the draw, then he should better look all over again his last fight with JMM to where only 12K+ was sold, and 80% of them were Mixicans! Where as Pac and Cotto fight is sold out almost two months in advance! And maybe he forgot that he is no longer the P4P king, and if he wanted to reclaim that, then he should work for this! And put this in your mind, PBF would fight none of this two Cotto and Mosley, he is ***in' afraid to both of these two, the only reason why he rose from his retirement is just because he is indeed bankrupt and the only way to salvage him from bankruptcy is to draw a promising big money from Manny's fight, and IMO, 30% is big enough for him in his present position as his share! That's why, Roach said, Manny does not need PBF, but PBF needs Manny..and the way I look at it, he needs Manny very badly!

Most of what you say makes sense, but what I mean is that Pacquiao and Cotto can still do it big with an overmatched opponent where as Mosley and Mayweather can't. This combined with the fact that Mosley is available for Floyd to fight in the early part of 2010 is why that fight needs to take place first regardless of who everybody think can beat Floyd.

I have noticed. That is why I have said that Mayweather's next fight will be against Mosley. No way is Arum going to put Pac in the ring with Mayweather. He will kill the fight the same way promoters/managers always kill fights -- by asking for a ridiculous amount of money. Pac's next opponent will be a David Diaz type.

From what I gathered---Pacquiao wants to fight well known fighters presently before possibly retiring--if you can name me a David Diaz-esque fighter out there that's a draw I'll give you a lolipop.

Forget which camp needs who. Boxing needs this fight. Not because it's the "best" fight out there for anyone or the most stylistic of match-ups. Boxing needs this because it will be HUGE. We're talking, ODLH huge. The saddest part, for me, is that "when" Floyd dismantles Pac, what does he do then? Who does he fight after? If he is strictly fighting for the money, nobody will bring the dollars for him to venture on. Pacman, on the other hand, should he win that day, I see him taking on another 3-4 monster fights. So, as much as boxing needs this fight for the above reasons, boxing will certainly lose out when Floyd does what we all know he will do to Pac.

Pac needs this fight? No. He can fight Mosley, Berto, and any of the top 140 guys and he will still make the same money.

Gayweather needs this fight? Hell yes! He's too chicken to fight Welters and Pac is the only guy who can give him enough penny change for him to pay off his debts.

Gayweather better shut his mouth and whatever leftovers Pac throws at him... he better accept. Coz it's still bigger than anything else out there for the gayman.

It was an article on here about 2 months ago saying Floyd would pay JMM money to cancel the fight IF PAC said he wanted to fight him. But guess what he didn't..

Yea our boy is not afraid at those little guys but i'm afraid that his last fight will be calderon, because of the pattern of his fighting his oponent becomes smaller and smaller.
