Close and competitive but giving a draw to Whyte would have been kind.
I'd say it was a robbery. Not a huge one but Whyte didn't deserve the nod.


The refereeing was disgusting also Whyte landed so many low blows and shots to the kidneys/round the back, constantly pulling Franklins head down and into shots or pulling his head down and leaning all over him and I am not sure he was even warned once? Credit to Franklin just getting on with it. Then Franklin had decent success backing Whyte up and beating him on the inside then he pulls them apart as he was teeing off for use of the head allegedly Starts getting involved threatening to dock points

Aping Franklin's claim of robbery doesn't make it so. Should Whyte have done better against this guy? Sure, but he still did enough to win. He knows he can't fight Joshua or any of the top guys like he fought Franklin. I think he gave him some rounds as he experimented with Buddy's new tactics.

Frankie did OK considering the massive step up in class, but Whyte as predicted can no longer hold a shot and looked vacantly disinterested even when he got in good shots. He did have Frankie in a world of trouble closing sec of the fight, but even if a minute longer, he'd lose interest as he did all night.

Had that been a top 10 heavy in there, Whyte would've been finished before the halfway mark. He's been softened up by Eddie giving him slots on DAZN as a talk host.
