Its quite hard reading that, Its obvious the death of his father really hit him hard. I always rated Johnson - was a very heavy puncher and would've KO'd the likes of Yarde and Buatsi in my opinion. Hope he manages to turn it around, it seems he's in quite a dark place.

Didn’t look too good in his last few fights too though, even in victory, if we’re being honest. I don’t think he had much left to offer at a good level.

Its a shame he didn’t get better opportunities before he was approaching mid 30’s. He had plenty of talent and real power. Not saying he was ever going to be elite but at his physical prime, he could’ve probably beaten the likes of Buatsi and Yarde.

Hope he’s doing well anyway, still had a decent career, wanna British title and fought for a world title, dropping and hurting Beterbiev in the process. Not bad at all.

I agree, I could sense the pain in his words...I hope that he can find peace after the loss of his father and whatever other battles he's dealing with.

Callum was entertaining, he could **** with the best of them and I agree he would have been a tough opponent for either Yarde or Buatsi.

Likeable guy, good fighter with exciting power. Genuinely was interested in seeing him in some good matchups in his division. Wish him well.

Good Luck Callum. You were a damn good fighter & that is all we could ask. Right now you are being hard on yourself, for everything, because that is what fighters do, Personally, I'll remember you as a super talent badly mismanaged. If you'd been able to fight 3 or 4 times every year you mighta been great but, in the words of Ruud Gullit, if my Aunt has a **** she's my uncle. I'd love to think you could stay in boxing & pass on your experience to the next generation.
