Comments Thread For: Chisora: Joshua Couldn't Fight Fury Due To Complications With Sponsors, Promoters

Derek Chisora believes Tyson Fury is allowing Anthony Joshua to live in his head and spends too much time talking about AJ. Chisora will face Fury, for the WBC heavyweight title, on December 3rd at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Del you've just got a gift £2 million stop stressing!
At least we are starting to get the truth as to why Joshua is 'off living his life' and couldn't fight. It's just disappointing it didn't come from the man himself!
If only for his own fans , who some how thought differently!

Sad that Chisora still feels he owes it to protect Peddie HGHearn just because Peddie did what he does and encouraged then protected the PED use of Chisora all the way back when PedJoephile *****flation was still coherent enough to be raping his staff and diddling pre-teens OFF camera.

Chisora is full of **** every fight can be made its been proven through history. Its the easiest excuse to blame this promoter or sponsor. The truth is Fury offered them the fight but another loss on Joshua's record makes his marketability problematic.

The duck came from Joshua's side. We all know it.

If AJ suffered his third loss in a row against Fury, and likely stopped badly he’d have to sit out for a long time. He wouldn’t be attractive to any of his sponsors, boxing fans, media etc.
He’s not going to get better. The chance to fight Fury at %40 is a great gift. Still nobody expects him to win or look good so having a bunch of rebuilding fights could earn his people more in the long run. He could still always get that Fury, or Wilder fight down the road anyway. That’s boxing.
Nobody is surprised it didn’t happen. There was a time a ton of people thought he’d smoke Wilder remember? Wilder fought Fury three times, and tough. AJ hasn’t fought either, lost to Ruiz, and the ex cruiser champ twice. AJ got paid the man for a while but turns out he never was? Am I wrong?
Anyone changed their opinion on Wilder vs AJ?

              Nope.

What's happened that would change your mind on that fight?

Wilder has great power but still can't box. He can't beat Fury. He can knockout weak opponents.

Joshua has good fundamentals but a questionable chin. He can't beat Usyk. He'll beat up lesser opponents.

              What else did we learn?

There's something fishy going on here .....!.....If Joshua IS actually saying that the biggest fight in British history and by far his biggest payday can't take place because it's too complicated with sponsors , promoters then what's he up to ? Feasting on broken fighters like Washington or Arreola isn't going to solve much. This swerve is now a crisis for him where only his mate has tried to smooth things over . Surely the very same 'fans' who were making fools of themselves on here , feeling sure it was Fury who didn't want to know now deserve an explanation....actually I think we all do .
Josh don't let Eddie or under armour decide your next fight. You were both in the right place at the right time but things are't so rosey now.

Boxing is in such a "Floyd" trance: one loss, and well, it isn't long before you are useless. Perfection was never the goal in boxing. Men fought men to see who would win. My goodness- Wille Pep was 1-3 against Sandy Saddler.

Let's not forget that AJ has a trilogy with Ruiz, mega-fight with Wilder and a rematch with Dillian Whyte that would be big-money bouts. He could potentially face Joyce, Dubious, and Otto Wallin, as a gate-keeper. And, Jared Anderson, Tony Yoka, or Martin Bakole if some promoter wanted to fork over the money to advance their contender's career.

I just listed 9 reasonable options for AJ- AND NOT ONE of them was Fury. On the other hand, Fury is constantly changing his mind and is running short on easy-overseas options. What is his plan after Chirosa? Usyk? Then what? He's not fighting Joyce; he's not fight Ruiz. Is he going to fly Deontay over for the IV fight?

AJ is a 2x Heavyweight champion , who is coming off of back-to-back defeats to a man that is the first Undisputed Cruiserweight to become Heavyweight champion since Evander Holyfield. Mike Tyson lost to Evander TWICE - yet literally no one cares. (This is not to compare AJ's abilities to Mike; that would be heinous; rather, to show, we are dealing with the highest level of boxing in the heavyweight division, regardless of era).

AJ will have a stellar remainder to his career; Fury, meanwhile, with go out in lackluster fashion- as a known PED fraud should.

Always a reason Joshua can’t take a fight he might lose. Same excuse his sycophants used for the reason he didn’t take the $50M from wilder.
