Which ever way the idiots try to spin it , whether it was Joshua , his 258 or as his friend says complications with promoters, sponsors....whatever because of that side , some where and I'm sure we'll eventually pinpoint where. The 'biggest fight in British boxing history ' (according to Hearn) is not happening .What disappoints is not just not getting to see these two battle it out but to see some people actually trying to defend why it isn't happening and lay blame else where .
Have you EVER heard Eddie Hearn talk so negatively about a potential event and one of this magnitude....me neither. It was like wtf how do I get out of this one.It was obvious from the start they didn't want the fight .....period!

Come on. We had Arum saying it couldn't be made and Fury saying sign today or the fight's off. There was plenty of negativity coming from that side too.

Personally I don't think either side wanted it and both the bluff and the called bluff went too far. But it's pretty obvious that the initial offer was to distract from the schittshow that team Fury has now announced. It was a tactic to fool people and to justify the fight that was already planned.

If people are still fooled by it now, then I'm not sure they'll ever see Fury for what he is.

On that ‘ex-cruiser champ’, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: anyone who knows anything about boxing knew that Joshua should have been underdog going into the 1st fight, but ppl round here are still talking as if it was an upset.

Usyk is the best opponent that anyone in this current HW cohort will ever face, as I said about 3 years ago, and the only ppl who are still downplaying him are those who had never heard of him pre-Chisora.
I was never a big AJ guy. I thought Usyk looked a bit stringy vs Chrisora, but he was brave and fearless.
In the first fight I thought AJ might be able to look and act like the bigger fighter that he was. Even if it was close ( I didn’t expect any KD’s ) I thought he might get the stroke. My brother told me Usyk would win for sure. Usyk took it to him right away. I was nervous that with all the moving Usyk might slow down but he never did. The scores were also way to close which makes me believe that I wasn’t wrong with AJ carrying the stroke.
In a rematch according to the scores all AJ would have to do is a bit better than last time and Usyk a bit worse and the precedent could get AJ a draw. AJ did do better early but he couldn’t sustain it and Usyk could put it into another gear. AJ had no answer. Usyk was always going to close the show. I didn’t need to see a rematch.
I always thought and still do that Wilder beats AJ. The guy has dropped Fury multiple times. Gotten up himself. I think Wilder is an underrated fighter. I’m not his biggest fan as a person always.
When AJ dropped Ruiz and then went after him I thought it was his best work. He landed hard. He tried to finish it. Ruiz somehow took it and fought outside of himself to drop AJ and comeback. I would have loved to see an AJ who erased that from his memory and went after people. I don’t think that will ever happen again.

Yo, don’t get me wrong; I thought AJ would get a hometown decision, but that Usyk’s performance would have been so good it would have caused a riot and a scandal.

Wilder looks like he can take the best shots going now. In order for AJ to finish him, he’s gonna have to somehow not get touched, but he always does, and though Wilder is still very predictable, seems to have learned how to KO with little leverage.

AJ’s combo to down Ruiz was vintage. But ofc, what wasn’t is all the technical flaws on display when trying to bomb him out of there AND that he lacks the IQ to know when to stick or twist. Ruiz wasn’t terribly hurt. Contrast with the performance against Pulev when he could have ended him before round 4, but was never sure when to turn the screw.

The issues were never getting resolved because it was an excuse. Even Frank Smith, the man you’d love to be due to him being near Eddie has said that the fight is too soon for AJ and basically not the right fight next.

Now Del is saying it’s because of problems (excuses) on AJ’s side.

Give it a rest Robert. AJ is coming off two loses and hasn’t even started his DAZN deal yet. They’re not going to into another co-broadcaster in a fight he will get humiliated in. That’s the top and bottom of it. AJ had no choice but to come on Twitter to accept the fight just to save face and his team have had to pull him out of the fire. Same as when he said he’ll fight wilder for $50m, so he received the offer and then he goes silent while his team manage to put up roadblocks. Noticing a pattern yet?

They know his level and that’s why they have kept him away from top 2 or 3 fighters or fed him 40 year olds for ages until they had the Usyk mandatory.
