With all do respect, there's only one fighter in his resume that jumps at you, a little bit, ryder, and he struggled with him. He's not an elite fighter.

Andre Ward wouldn't have had to worry about legacy if he didn't duck Bute back in the day. Don't think we forgot about that cowardly ****.

Again, before that fight, Canelo had zero intention of fighting him. He didn't fight Khan who is a Welter when there perfectly good middleweights to fight? He didn't fight a Lightweight in Lopez? he didn't want to fight Ortiz who was also a Welter?

Canelo didn't duck Golovkin for years with him waiting to age him and drop the WBC title after saying "Mexicans don't f3ck around"? He then didn't lose both fights and get gifts? He didn't get a gift against Lara? He didn't fight Kovalev with the conditions that he fight only weeks after his last one without resting his body properly? Canelo didn't drain him with a rehydration contract? Canelo didn't do the same to Fielding who isn't even close to being world level? He didn't fight Yildrim who had been out of the ring for 2 years? He didn't drain a shot Chavez Jr? He didn't fight a shot Angulo coming straight from a stoppage loss? He didn't fight a shot Kirkland who had been out of the ring for 17 months? Canelo didn't fight a non-world class Matthew Hatton from Welterweight for the Lightmiddleweight title? Hatton wasn't even in line for a title shot at Welter. But he all of a sudden got a ranking a weight class upwards?

Canelo didn't fight with Liam Smith when he had actual known fighters from the US that he needed to sell on American PPV? A smith who had never been near world class?

I could be here all day with this. If you believe anything different to reality, then you're biased and want to protect the fraud. Canelo is a cancer to boxing.
The entirety of this post is you looking for some angle that fits your narrative that Canelo is an average or possibly below average fighter who slyly worked the system for 15 years. This guy is the puppet master, Keep going. Tell us how he worked his magic to win all the rest of his fights.

His record isn't mind blowing either.

The thing is Canelo beat some prime name like Lara, GGG but by very very close decision...

Canelo has huge balls to fight a Guy like Bivol, Bivol is good and a giant next to him.

Would Ward fight a cruiserweight on Bivol's level? Maybe but he never did.

People need to sit back and ask themselves, in what fight has Canelo ever looked like a 'great' In? We can name many for Floyd and Manny, and other great fighters but I can't think of a single fight for Canelo.

His pinnacle was probably GGG rematch and even then most people think he lost.

He's not wrong in that the elite names were all pretty much past prime but he has some very good wins against Trout, Lara, Callum Smith, Billy Hoe. His record is better than most active fighters at the moment.

                  Lol

Thats pretty normal when people faced elite rivals
Oscar career is a prove of this.

                  Close win still being wins.

Canelo resume is way way better than Wards

                  And all the champions actually.

                  So, stop

Ward is missing championship caliber wins period by comparison. Canelo is a 4 division champ and beat 17 champs, 10 of them reigning and 6 were undefeated. Ward beat 6 total champs, only 3 were reigning and the only undefeated one was Kovalev who he never got a clean win over. Haters look for any angle to criticize Canelo when he has them beat in just about every possible category. You can drive a freight train through the gap in the middle of Ward's resume during his inactivity and injuries or whatever then he retired early on top of it.

Instead of actually analyzing what Ward said, you guys just right away start attacking Ward.

The big problem in doing that, is Ward isn’t the issue at hand.

You all going, “Ward jealous. What about Wards resume.” Why are you guys making this about Ward?

Its not a “Ward resume vs Canelo resume.” That’s not what this is. Ward isn’t like Floyd. He’s not making it about himself. Stop making it like that, because that’s not what it’s about.

It’s about Canelo and only Canelo. Ward retired. Talk less about Ward, and more about Canelo. That’s it.

My thoughts. Canelo is great, but the positive steroids test can’t be ignored. Boxing has been kind to Canelo on the scorecards and he always seems to get the close decisions. What he did at 168 was an accomplishment and one he deserves credit for. Those guys were recognized champions, but they weren’t killers.

He has a few misses on his resume. He’s great, but I think a lot of people overrate him.

Say what you want about Benavitez or his lacking resume, but if Benavitez would be easy work for Canelo, why doesn’t Canelo fight him then???

It’s a bout that a lot of people have talked about and want to see. A true P4P champion would give the people what they want to see.
You hit the nail on the head..
                      Totally agree with your post
90% of the comments on here are all about Canelo & Ward resume comparisons or Ward being jealous of Canelo
