Hes an anomaly for sure. Thats why hes so entertaining to watch. Everyone laughs at how slow and clumsy he looks and yet time and time again hes just walking through people and ****ing them up. Theres just something extra enjoyable about the way his unflinching pressure breaks his opponents down physically and mentally.
What is up with Joe Joyce seriously?

Good post. I always thought that Parker was over rated. He's a good fighter, not very good and far from great. Fans should appreciate Joyce for his attitude and his durability. At his age he is passed his best. But he's not hitting the steep decline part over the hill yet. Joyce needs to fight someone else in the top ten soon before he's too old.Bone density is one of his attributes, but its more likely his mindset and workrate in there that are his real strengths. He knows he can grind down opponents down the stretch. He has unreal stamina and it fits perfectly in his plodding often ponderous attacks. He has a good way of asserting himself round upon round almost mechanical in his application of pressure. I don't think he's a world beater but he's a tough task for any of the top 5 it will take someone with more experience and determination to best joyce over 12.Comment

Get some medicine for that "literally" habit you've picked up, lad.Was he made in a lab? is he actually human?
I've never in my life following the sport or otherwise seen a guy get hit so clean yet literally doesn't blink or well anything as poker faced as it gets.
He ran into a few huge uppercuts - His head didn't even snap back it literally just bounced clean off his chin like something from a horror movie.
Hammer not a big puncher but he landed as clean as you like and I guarantee if he hit just about anyone else that clean he'd have put them out cold, again, nothing.
I am not exaggerating when I say a good 3-4 shots and I mean hefty shots strayed low and he just continued ploughing forward, didn't wince, didn't blink.
Does he not feel pain or something? I swear his skin doesn't even mark up.
Again I'm not exaggerating, you've all seen it. This guys is ****ing terrifying!
He is the Michael Myers of boxing.
I'm just accepting it nobody is beating him unless they have seriously good footwork, upper body movement and just look to pot shot him. Waste of time planting your feet and trying to command his respect, not happening and he's not slowing down.
Just forget he is painfully slow and clumsy and has a terrible defence and gets hit clean as you like way too often and all of that he is just built different as they say. He is a train with no brakes.
Just forget skills and speed, etc to a large extent and accept the guys just a juggernaut. He's just going to walk straight through everything you have and outwork you and bludgeon you to death.
Otherwise, good post.Comment

can't remember what round it was 6? maybe 7/8? but there was a moment the camera focused on Parker sat on his stool in the corner and he looked like he had just climbed out of a car crash lol the look on his face was basically saying "this guy isn't human.. im done"Last edited by davef; 09-25-2022, 07:37 AM.Comment

He was really frightening to watch at times last night with the relentlessness and stamina, and it would be hellish for anyone out there versus him.We know about Joyce's bone density, but it doesn't explain the fact he doesn't budge from an uppercut or bodyshot either.
Dude a strong MF, with a giant head, thick neck and body.
Juggernaut is the perfect nickname for him.
You gotta have supreme stamina and movement to beat this man. Usyk is probably the only one.
However, he did get hurt (obviously) to the body in the second round vs Jennings. He held on and rode the moment out while Jennings fired off more at him.
Point is, boxing can be funny sometimes. Everyone in that square circle can get hurt no matter how good they take a punch, and sometimes it's from someone you least expect.Comment

In theory, he's human, so you are right. He can be hurt.
I just expected Parker to be able to. He hit Joe clean with everything, including to the body and he just plowed forward.
Gotta catch him with something he doesn't see.Comment
