Hell, Conceivao a dam fool as far as I’m concerned, you fighting for 1/4 million your opponent is getting 3 million and you could get paid still without fighting one of the slickest most talented boxers of today and all you and your people negotiated was an extra 50K; sound like a dammmm fool to me!

I've never seen such news article before detailing such violation of the rules and its consequences. Surely, this is not the first time such thing happened. Why only now? Just wondering if this would have merited a headline news had the card been on PBC platform. Just wondering.

I'm not sure what he's getting. This is what ESPN is saying, which is different from the article....
"Conceicao, an Olympic gold medalist, will be eligible to win the two vacant titles, which will remain vacant if he loses. Stevenson paid Conceicao $150,000 to allow the fight to proceed after Stevenson's failure to make weight, sources said.
Conceicao was set to earn $200,000 before the financial penalty paid by Stevenson out of his $3 million purse, sources told ESPN. Since he made weight, Conceicao would have earned that figure even if the fight was called off.
Stevenson will also be fined $20,000 by the commission."

I don't want to **** on to grim death about this, but it should be pointed out that Conceicao has trained like hell to get down to 130 only to be told, 'Shakur ain't doing that weight'. I know I sound like I'm 'hating' on Shakur but this whole situation isn't right. It isn't about Conceicao v Stevenson, it is about all boxing. If you don't make weight you just should lose & be ejected & the promoter can see if they can find a substitute. Now Conceicao is going is against a much bigger, probably much stronger man. I would ask any poster how they'd feel if they were him? I'm old enough to think, if my boys were professional fighters how would I feel? And my answer would be, angry, disgusted & afraid for my boy.

Keith Idec focusing/talking about Conceicao’s purse, publishing amounts. yet no mention of Stevenson’s purse, how much he’s making in comparison and how little he got fined. Stevenson should forfeit 20% if his purse to Conceicao.
