In other words he fell off the wagon inbetween camps and regained all the weight and isnt going to bother to lose it again.

he spent the whole camp focused on losing weight only for andy to gain it all back.
Really is it too much for Andy to lose 20-35 pounds inbetween camps and keep it off and then just focus on boxing during camp....
his fat ass basically needs a weight loss camp before the actual camp. but thats too much trouble so he just wings it as a fat ass and considering how far he came by just winging it like that he has tremendous untapped talent if he actually tried. He could be unified champ right now.Last edited by elfag; 09-01-2022, 10:20 AM.Comment

Ruiz is an interesting one. He gets a lot of credit for beating AJ, but really he caught AJ with a counter when he got ****y trying to finish Ruiz in 3 rounds.
The rematch he got comprehensively outboxed. There is actually little evidence that he would have done differently 20lbs lighter because AJ wasn't going to get caught by a counter again.
Not sure if the Ortiz fight really settles anything either, but boxing is better with him in the mix.Comment

It’s bizarre the way Ruiz’s performance is being ignored. Fans are speaking of Ruiz as if he’s fresh off the AJ win and Ortiz is fresh off the Wilder loss.
Also Ortiz is probably taking this fight way more seriously than Ruiz. Idk the odds for this fight but I see Ruiz as the underdog, just my opinion.Comment

People keep talking about his weight like they know his conditioning he was conditioned enough against AJ the first time to knock him up and down the ring 4 times something Usyk couldn't even do once in 24 rounds. He messed it up in the rematch and that was obvious to see, but if he wasn't conditioned he wouldn't have lasted against Arreola especially after being hurt early.
He's always been big even bigger when he was with Sanchez he lost weight and it didn't help him in the ring. As long as the cardio is on point there shouldn't be a reason to complain. Losing weight doesn't always equate to being in better shape neither does building muscle that would only make his hands slower and make him stiff like AJ.
