The difference is golden boy is not involved, I feel the right man will get the decision, but I also think canelo stops ggg in the second half

Golovkin's confidene about this fight is fascinating. It seems as though he has the fight in the bag, how confident he sounds. As if he has some kind of leverage on Canelo which Canelo is very very angry about. What kind of leverage? Evidence that Canelo Oscar ordered GGG to play soft and throw the first two fights to get the giant payday. Now GGG has the leverage and doesn't have to play soft and it's as if he knows he can KO canelo with what he's got. And this is the real reason why canelo is so angry about Golovkin. He's been outsmarted and set up by the master.

GGG’s words give the impression that he’s already half way retired. Doesn’t indicate a high level of confidence in picking him to beat Canelo when he sounds so uncertain about his impending retirement. Does he still have the fire to push himself as far as he can?

He couldn’t if he tried. Because it was Bivol’s naturally bigger size that really bothered Canelo.

While GGG is taller and longer than Canelo, he doesn’t have the size advantage Bivol has over Canelo.

That is such Bull****. Bivol is 6' and was 183-185 on fight night vs Canelo. Jacobs weighed more than that on fight night vs GGG at MIDDLEWEIGHT. Bivol is a SMALL light-heavyweight. Saunders is 5'11". Jacobs, Yildirim, and Kovalev are 6' like Bivol. Plant, Fielding and Chavez are 6'1" and Smith is 6'3". All are at probably around the same weight or more than Bivol on fight night. So all of a sudden NOW the size was a problem for Canelo? GTFOH...

Since I’m the exact same age as GGG down to the day I hope he pulls one out for us old guys. Unfortunately, he kind of sounds like he’s resigned to the inevitable the more I hear him talk.

IF GGG pulls off the upset, people will quite naturally want to go back and take a look at the fights which preceded Canelo-GGG III, namely Canelo's UD loss to Bivol and GGG's TKO victory over Murata.
At the moment, the common perception is that GGG showed greater vulnerability in his dominant stoppage of Murata--primarily because he took several hard shots to the body and head and lost perhaps 2 of 9 rounds--than Canelo showed in getting completely outclassed by Bivol in a fight in which Canelo should have won only (guessing; have not actually scored it) 2-3 rounds.
At the moment, people seem to be viewing GGG's performance vs. Murata from a "glass is half empty" perspective; noticing what he did poorly, or less well than he did while young, while minimizing his successes in rounds 5-9; at the same time, Canelo is largely getting a pass for his loss against Bivol because Bivol is perceived to be far too large for Canelo (not true, at 183lbs he had no significant weight advantage) and an all-time-great LHW in the making (time will tell).
What is most apparent to me, in these two fights, is that the GGG that fought Bivol was larger and more muscular than ever before, displayed very-good if not "prime"-level endurance, and overcame adversity to win, while the Canelo who lost to Bivol was--in a relative sense--fat, weak, and out of condition, fought without a sense of urgency, and was not able to find a way to mount a viable offense.
While I haven't seen much training footage as these two prepare to meet in September, the footage I have seen shows a GGG who is even larger and stronger than the GGG that beat Murata; while Canelo appears to be shrinking down to a size not seen since he fought Jacobs at middleweight in 2019. Which is odd, as the fight is at 168lbs.

And I love Canelo. I think he’s an ATG but I’m rooting for GGG
