I only have 15 seconds so I couldn't capture every jab and bodyshot landed, but these are mostly the best shots as well as stuff you mentioned.
Canelo is already deep in the hole at that point by 2:17 whiffing really hard missing everything.
Canelo did land 2 good body shots at 1:58, still body shots though which get scored lower than headshots do (unless it's a knockdown).
As you can see, those 4 body shots you mentioned aren't all landing. We see clearly 2 to the back which aren't scored because they don't land in a scoreable area. The 2 we don't see, one looks blocked by the elbow, hard to know though. If anything, 2 body shots (not 4) and body shots do not count like head shots do (unless it's a knockdown), otherwise Malignaggi would have beaten Broner 118-110.
There is no indication the body shots are having an effect and those are 100% not clean punches, they land in an illegal zone my friend.
Those are blanket statements from Bernstein, nobody likes body shots, it's very general. But if you want to get molecular, illegal shots to the body will bother anyone.
100% incorrect. Canelo lands 2 illegal shots as seen here. The ref tells Canelo get off that hip at 1:35, it's right here in video.
Reiterating, body shots score under headshots (unless it's a knockdown). Canelo 100% did NOT land 11 power shots. =--->
There are 4 power shots that land which is a -63.83% margin of error from Compubox. I can make an argument that shots 1 (for sure, maybe not in the landing zone) and maybe 4 (hard to see if it's blocked enough) don't land. Even the uppercut is partially blocked.
You absolutely cannot reasonably use Compubox. I've proven time and time again, they're waaaay off. If you want to use a punchstat, it has to be done by hand as I'm doing in this post. I just rewatched it in my editor and I have at least 9 power shots to the head that were not the jab by Lara so right there, Compubox is at a 33.33% margin of error.
You're right, power reigns supreme and the harder as well as cleaner shots come from Lara as seen in my videos.
You have several operator errors, but that's ok. As long as you're trying to improve, mistakes are expected. Longwinded is fine, I'm willing to help anyone get better at scoring.

Where in the scoring criteria for boxing does it say that bodypunching is scored less than head punching??? Did Jerry tell you that or did you make it up yourself?
Either way its not true, so lets put that to bed.
Also please don't compare feather fisted Paulie's body punching to Canelo's. Thats just silly.
Regarding the bodyshots at 2:16, canelo threw 6 punches. The first one was around the back, fair enough. but the 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th punches clearly landed cleanly, and here they are....
I hope those images have loaded. As u can see, those are 4 perfectly legal, clearly landed body punches. Not around the back or below the belt line.
Now to the 2 "illegal shots at 1:46 - 1:42...
As you can see, the first punch at 1:45 is fine, just behind laras arm connecting with the side of his body.
From my screenshot, the second shot at 1:42, looks OK to me. Look at where canelo's taped arm is with respect to lara's waistband. Again, to me it looks fine.
The next 2 screenshots are directly after that second punch, as Lara is complaining to the referee. Look at how high his trunks are. His waistband is closer to his nipple than his hip lol
Incidentally Byrd didn't admonish canelo until Lara complained for the second time. Bad refereeing in my opinion. He didn't see the low punch or he saw it and thought it was ok. Lara might have conned him there.
But I'm not a canelo zealot and I try to be fair, so I'll give u that second shot and won't count it as a landed punch.
You next mention bodyshots scoring less than headshots. Ive covered that. It's just not true.
Now we come to compubox. You say canelo lands 4 power punches in round 5.
So I did what you asked and went back and counted by hand. I've counted 33 power punches thrown and 10 landing. Let's call it 9 if we don't count the "hip" shot. And here they are
Clearly landed shots. Around the elbows, underneath the elbows, through the guard with the uppercut.
Also combubox didn't credit canelo with landing 5 jabs in that round too, from 12 thrown. They said he landed zero jabs
I couldn't get one if those jabs perfectly screenshotted, but if u don't believe it landed, u can go to the time in the round and u can see and hear it landed.
You say at the end of your post that Lara lands the harder shots.
I mean.... That's not even worthy of a response, my friend.
I really ****in hope these pics upload. I ain't going through that again.
Ps thanks for the imgur advice

I have the fight in a professional video editor in slow motion, two shots land on the kidneys and the two in the front are partially blocked, facts.

Partially blocked punches are not counted lol. Are you serious?
I posted my figures which are 100% accurate, anything else doesn't exist.

Look man, I've done more than anybody would do and proven my case 100%. It took you 3 weeks to respond and with a pisspoor response at that. Respond if you want, there is nothing more I can say.

Hey my guy, calm the fuck down with the insults. You don't get to tell me what to compare or not to compare. The only one being silly is you. At the end of the day points are points, they don't need to be death blows. Like I said, Paulie should have won on body shots as points.
imgur.com mot imgur.io. It's like you're new to the internet or something.

Those punches are clearly illegal and the ref warned Canelo. Those are not scoring blows, facts. I think you need glasses to be fair.
Think about it, the body is a bigger piece of meat and more area to hit, the head is smaller, why would you get the same scoring for a target that's eaiser to hit? Also, the head is much more fragile because there's a BRAIN in there. Very few body shots hurt, like 3 places on the entire torso.
The punch is past his head, it did not land and if it did touch the face it was grazing. Close but no cigar.
Partially blocked punches are not counted lol. Are you serious?
I posted my figures which are 100% accurate, anything else doesn't exist.
If I said Lara landed the harder, shots, Lara landed the harder shots. You're extremely rude and DKSAB. I went out of my way to show you literal video proof and you're trying to wriggle out of it by any nonsensical means available. Canelo fans 100% can't handle the truth, it's amazing! You can't even post a screenshot!
Look man, I've done more than anybody would do and proven my case 100%. It took you 3 weeks to respond and with a pisspoor response at that. Respond if you want, there is nothing more I can say.
2. Hey 'my guy', I'm perfectly calm ( I've calmed down, since I fúked up my pic uploading). I don't resort to insults on here. You can look back over all my posts to see that. I'm merely pointing out that comparing paulies bodypunching to canelo's is unrealistic. Put a poll up here 'who hits harder to the body, Paulie or canelo?'
Let's see the results. It would be 100% in favour of Canelo and you know it.
And its not points are points, that's amateur boxing. The idea of professional boxing is to land damaging blows.
3. The ref didn't think they were low. He wouldn't have opened his mouth only for Lara complained twice. Hopefully tomorrow I can try and upload the screenshots again.
4. Once again, show me in the 4 scoring criteria for professional boxing, where it says headshots count more than bodyshots.
5. As I said earlier I'll have to try and upload the pics tomorrow, but they landed. I went back and watched it, just to make sure.
You posted that canelo landed 4 power punches in the whole round. That is far from 100% accurate.
Lara landing the HARDER SHOTS??? Im speechless
Also you've said I'm rude, insulting and extremely rude. Show me where I have been.
I'm a canelo fan sure, but I'm not a canelo stan. I'm not trying to wriggle out of anything. I spent hours trying to upload these screenshots. I thought it would be a simple copy/paste thing. Boy was I wrong?!!
I mean comparing paulies body punching to canelo's, and saying Lara landed the harder punches? And bodyshots count less than headshots? Are u really proving your case 100%??? Not even the great Jerry Roth could agree with you my guy
