To me, Canelo looked faster at 160 than he did at 168. He’s developed more of a seek and destroy, walk em down approach. Less movement on the back foot. Under Jonathan Banks, Golovkin has gone back to more of his style in the Olympics but is noticeably slower & doesn’t appear to sit on his punches the same way he used to. I think he’s gonna have to cut down on some of that extra movement and plant his feet and **** from time to time. He’s gotta remind Canelo of that power and force him backwards.

If Golovkin sees the final bell, it proves that either Canelos overrated or Golovkin is better than we thought. Maybe a little bit of both.

But It would be a bad look for Canelo being younger, fresher & in the prime of his career being unable to stop a 40 year old way past his best & fighting in a new weight class for the very 1st time.

if Golovkin has faded as much it he appears to have. I see a 8-4 7-5 clear UD loss coming.

Look at Golovkin's forearms. If you go to his instagram page, you can see that they are even bigger now. He's literally the living embodiment of Popeye. Canelo is going to feel something that he's never felt before.

The thing about Canelo is that he's shopworn. He himself said he can't fight four times a year. He's slower now, and he doesn't fight like he used to. Go back and watch Canelo's first or second fight with Golovkin and then watch his fight against Plant and Bivol. Noticeable slow down.

However, the judges are going to give us another stinker and rob Golovkin. This fight is already predetermined. Golovkin has to take Canelo's head off, and it's still possible, just unlikely.

They are one a piece in my opinion .168 is a weight that Canelo has been comfortable in but we don't know how it may suit G. yet ,in that I favour Canelo....Although it might have an effect moving up toL/H then down but all said Canelo is rightfully seen as the favourite here.

Face looks old as **** though. he's still going to be 40 going into the fight. His stamina seems understandably worse now but fortunately for him Canelo also has **** stamina.

I would like to see GGG win just for the hell of it but it might not happen. Canelo is a brute.

My sentiments too. If they'd have thought when GGG was in his early thirties it'd have been a decisive win for him. Now, hes getting stopped. Probably a ref or thrown towel stoppage.

Man don’t let ggg somehow pull off this win. Canelo’s stock will drop faster than Adrien Broner’s or Mikey Garcia’s.

Golovkin was still averaging over 70 punches a round against Murata. While obviously not as high as in his early 30's, Canelo is averaging I think in the mid to high 30's over his last several fights, compared to his over 50 punches a round in the Golovkin rematch. I know you said Canelo's stamina is **** but it's a pretty big drop off that I think people aren't noticing. Murata's success (and also Derevyanchenko) was due to his high output himself, which was almost 70 punches a round, a number Canelo cannot sustain, especially at the higher weights. Even though Golovkin's output and stamina has dropped off and is sure to dip a bit more at 168, I'm sure it'll still be better than what Canelo has demonstrated.

No similarities in boxing abilities at all but I remember when Ricardo Mayorga moved up to face Trinidad at middleweight and looked gassed after a few rounds. It's a good thing Canelo punch output isn't that high but I think GGG will gas out midway through the fight. I think Canelo will target that body early on and stop GGG around the 10th!
