I think he means back in the day, if Broner had lived up to the hype and was prime, with Mayweather not being far past prime. Under those circumstances, a PPV would have done well

No, it wouldn't. The world (the West anyway) is very much over Floyd. Nobody is paying PPV money to see 45 yr old Floyd hug and crack jokes with crackhead Broner for 10 rounds. There are plenty of casuals and simpletons in this world, but those people just want to see the pressers. They're not paying customers.Last edited by IronDanHamza; 08-08-2022, 04:24 PM.

For me, I always try to think of Broner when he was in his prime, strong work ethic, disciplined, in tip top shape, at light weight. That Broner was indeed a problem for anybody near his weight. He fell off when he started hopping weight classes on that PBC cherry pick/avoidance business model, to try to rob the bank. When ppl know they're cherry picking, they lose hunger to train hard, because to them, it's almost like a fixed fight where they already know the outcome in advance. And by the time u start eating strippers out on stage and making babies with them, u know the proper mindset and focus to train, rest, and eat the proper diet, is long goneMusoMeanderings likes this.

“We can do an exhibition, 10 rounds, and the whole world is gonna watch it," Broner said. "And we’re gonna go in there and go to work and hug...”
