Fast counts and long counts tick me off but they are a part of boxing. Under these standards Deontay knocked out fury in the first fight point blank period. Look at Nate campbell- Robbie Peden one, what a disgrace fast count. And in the rematch what a disgrace the referee stopping it early tko to rob Nate of any way to get the revenge or validation of what happened in the first fight. Shady stuff, plus home cooking. Yes geography had a play in it twas the rematch in Australia.

If a referee starts counting 1 second for every 3 seconds, he's going to get fired 100%. There must be a reasonable standard when a 10 count is being done. This wasn't a difference of a second or two, this was 5. That's 50% more time and when Douglas tried getting up the first time he stopped because he was unable. Maybe rushing to get up in real time, Douglas is too wobbly to continue. Maybe there is enough time in the round for Mike to end it, the bell did save him. We just don't know.
