Jermell Charlo is prepared to get at least one mandatory title defense out of the way. The fight was ordered May 31, with the two sides coming to terms well within the twenty-day negotiation period.

This is a good fight. I think I'm favoring Jermell right now. But I'm not committed to that position yet.Comment

Easy work for Charlo. I don’t think Timmy is in the same class as Charlo or Castano. This won’t be as competitive as those two fights. Tszyu is too easy to hit. He’ll heal when Charlo starts countering him with hard, crisp, accurate shots.Comment

So that would mean every fighter Charlo beat didn't show up?! Help me understand your logic seeing clearly nothing Tim can do in training will help him win a fight unless Charlo doesn't "show up".Comment

Jemell is a good champion, to take a tough defense against an unproven but very naturally talented and ambitious fighter.Comment

37 fights and not one elite level opponent. Yawn. He’s already lining up a duck of Crawford if he moves to 154.Comment
