This is it 100%. Other comments try to put spins on the situation to fit their agendas.

Simple fact is that GBP knows Munguia's limitations. He was a big junior middleweight who beat up on a blown up welterweight in Ali (who was supposed to be a soft touch for a very shot Cotto). The Smith, Inoue and Hogan fights exposed alot of flaws.

GBP will do whatever it takes to keep him fighting limited opposition until he either develops as a fighter or they opt to cash him and his undefeated record out.

Well, tens of millions of Africans are not black. It would be more accurate to say negroid, but Negroid American sounds funny.

You make it sound like he's the A-side in that fight and he's the shot caller.
I haven't seen Andrade mentioning Mungia. Why not ask him?

Both Andrade and Charlo don't mention Mungia's name. I don't know why.

Disappointment, Charlo has that effect on a lot of potential opponents

to be fair, negroid sounds better than caucazoid.

If they was serious about it then you force it to go to Purse Bid! Reason why they did no do that is because GBP would've not only lost the Purse Bid but also Munguia would've gotten a smaller %

GBP dropped the ball on this one trying to act as if Munguia was the A Side and have dumb demands like "DAZN NEEDS TO BE INVOLVED" as if this was some sort of Super Fight that needed both DAZN and Showtime to cover it

It’s also extremely outdated from an era happily passed. And who is “black” and who is not changes from nation to nation. There are people on here who claim several Cuban fighters are not “black” because they are Cuban and speak Spanish even though those Cubans most assuredly have more African blood and less European blood than the highly mixed Foundational Black American who is on average 25% European

This was hands down a duck by golden boy and they used dayzin as an excuse. They simply don’t want Munguia to be in a fight that he may very well lose and especially on Showtime or FOX in front of actual sports fans
What an ignorant. Itīs the other way around. The PBC people knew Munguia was too dangerous for Charlo. Just like they believe Benavidez is too and they are both from PBC, who always protects Afro fighters.

Munguia hands down is the biggest protected prospect in boxing today.
Bums? Ypu sound like a casual. Munguia has been fighting better opposition than Charlo, who doesnīt fight anyone. Justa having a " name " doesnīt make you dangerous. Look at their records, Munguia has a better one, and by the way ANYONE can knock you out, with a name or not. Munguia is moving up in weight and is figjting Kelly, who tough and ranked.

Munguia KOed Montiel in brutal fashion in round 2. Charlo is good but also Munguia, Charlo seems overrated just because he is Black American.
