September's looking like another poor month for DAZN then - only offering that I can see is Canelo-GGG, and that's PPV in the UK. That's probably a poor commercial decision now isn't it? I'd possibly be inclined to pay £7.99 for it, but I'm not paying £15.99 (or is it more if I'm not subscribed - another £7.99?) for that and nothing else for September.

Yeah UK subscribers are getting absolutely no value whatsoever in September. I’ve got Jones-Tarver III, Pacquiao-Morales III vibes from Canelo-GGG III. Two big names but we already know what the result is gonna be. I flew over for the first two fights as I’m a massive GGG fan but I might not even watch the third fight live tbh. Maybe I’ll be a little more excited the closer the fight gets but it feels like a damp squib to me.

That's PPV in the UK? What a joke.

Flew over? That must've been some atmosphere! Two cracking, high-quality contests as well. I agree re: the third though.

Couple questions for you - what's the best fight you've seen live that you weren't expecting much from, and the angriest you've seen a crowd at a decision?

Yeah Vegas fight week is unbelievable, it’s electric all week, especially if it’s a genuine super fight. I’d recommend any boxing fan to experience it at least once. There’s generally a lot of conventions and stuff too where you can meet fighters past and present. Take Canelo-GGG 2 for example, they had a convention on the day of the fight and there was loads of fighters there including Tommy Hearns, James Toney, Errol Spence, Shawn Porter, Mikey Garcia, Badou Jack, David Benavidez etc. It was only like $50 to get in too if I remember correctly.

Tommy Coyle vs Daniel Brizuela would be my answer. I essentially only went to that card to watch Luke Campbell, didn’t really know much about Coyle aside from the Matthews loss and it’s one of the best fights I’ve ever seen.

It was actually at an amateur show in Liverpool, a traveller lad had a decision go against him, he probably deserved the nod but there wasn’t that much in it. Anyway his friends/family/supporters went f***ing mental, they started throwing chairs into the ring at the referee who was about 65, it was like something you’d see an ECW crowd do in the 90’s, inevitably several fights broke out. The police had to be called in the end and several of them got arrested.

The EBU have passed on Arthur and ordered Johnson vs Faure their EU champion for the vacant title.

                Is Faure any good?

I'm hearing that Dubois v Whyte is looking likely to be announced next week. Rumours or are there any legs in this?

Ain’t got a clue. Probably not based on his record/resume.

Whyte’s essentially got 3 offers on the table. Dubois on BT, Wallin on Sky or Chisora 3 on DAZN. He’ll simply go to the highest bidder IMO. The Dubois fight is definitely the most interesting.
