I’d prefer it to be go that way tbh. Frank isn’t European level. Harris deals with him easily IMO.

Is Harris the one who went the distance with Julio Cesar Martinez? If so, I remember him being fairly decent - better than I’d expected. Was fresh off Martinez eviscerating Charlie Edwards iirc (NC of course in the end).

Can’t say I know an awful lot about the lower weights, has Noriega been on Matchroom Spain cards before? Would you expect Yafai to get him out of there late, is he durable?

Yeah Harris went 12 with JCM. He’s been stopped twice since though so he’s possibly on the slide, however he should still have enough to beat Frank who got an absolute gift against Craig Derbyshire last time out.

I’ve only watched Noriega once tbh, so I couldn’t give you that accurate of an evaluation but in terms of pedigree Yafai should have enough to succeed at that level. Possibly worth getting him some more rounds first.

Fair enough. Neither of their records look particularly impressive (admittedly to an untrained eye) recently.

Harris & Frank that is. Am aware Yafai is a real talent.

Looking like Hughes may not be fighting Galahad now. Hearing rumours he could be fighting Jorge Linares. Also a possibility he’s landed the Garcia fight but I’m doubtful.

Don't know why Galahad doesn't just fight Youssef Khoumarri or Castaneda anyway.

I don’t think he wants to make 130. I could happily never watch a KG fight again tbh. Horrible style to watch.

Parker-Joyce card seems to be announced almost in full.
No Davies-Baluta, and by the looks of it Avanesyan's fight against Miguez will go on a different card.
The additions ... obviously Serrano's unification is now on, Cacace is fighting for the IBO.

Essuman-Antwi, Heaney-Flatley, and Heffron are all on the card as anticipated, no opponent announced for Heffron as yet (hope it's Cullen but that hasn't looked likely for a long while).

Surely Matchroom can't compete with this if they're proposing a Sheffield show on the same date - why not move it to the week after?

Yeah there’s no way Matchroom go head to head on Sep 24th. They’ll move the Sheffield card to October. Frank’s put a very good card together there. I’ll probably go.
