I've never said he's too big to fight Avanesyan. In fact that would be my first choice. But it's not as big a fight as Ramirez and whether people think that fight should happen or not, they've repeatedly made it clear its not happening. So why can't people move on from it. The WW division does not revolve around Avanesyan. Yet the anti Hearn brigade continually use it to try to bring Benn down. IMO he's overrated. And he's not a big name, so I understand the lack of interest. But I wish they'd make that fight, which I believe Benn wins, just to shut up all the clowns. Because that's the main value in that fight. Just to put it to bed. But then the haters will just find some other supposed bogeyman that Benn is scared of lol.Ramirez, if it can happen is a bigger fight. So I hope it does. Its a step up for sure .

They've not tried to make those fights though. And Porter is retired now and has no relevance in this conversation. Those are names Benn wanted. His handlers have never tried to make those happen. Because they know he's not ready for them. Which is what you lot keep saying also. So it seems you agree with Hearn more than you's realise lol.

What does the "anti Hearn brigade" have to do with wanting the bubble wrap to come off of Benn? It's not unusual for people to want to see fighters take actual tests. You're coming off as being extremely defensive. Wasn't it Hearn trying to make Benn vs that loser Kelly? Seems like most would assume fighting Avanesyan would be an even better fight than that.

I have no issues with Benn-Ramirez. Hopefully that gets made.

They've not tried to make those fights because those are names they throw out there but never had intentions of fighting. Why wouldn't Porter have relevance in a conversation about people they've named but didn't intend to fight when they've mentioned Porter before? Him retiring didn't undo that bs statement.

Avenesyan is high risk low reward.

            ‘Boxing is a business’ etc

Don’t see the problem in building a fighter up slowly. Especially one who was struggling against domestic level opposition only a few years ago.

I think we're all in agreement that the bubble wrap has to come off. Maybe I am a bit defensive. But Benn gets far too much criticism, when he's been trying to move through the levels and learn his trade. He had a limited amateur background and is learning on the job in the pro game under intense scrutiny from day one. In my opinion he's really starting to handle it well. And they now want to step him up again, so that's great. I'm not even sure he will handle these levels he's coming into, but I respect the fact they're trying to get it right, and there's really no rush. I'm just glad this forum represents a minority. And in in the UK in general its the same. Its the Warrenites that want him to fight Avanesyan. Benns fans couldn't give a **** about that fight. And they only want Benn to fight Avanesyan to see Benn lose. In reality they couldn't give a **** about Avanesyan. They didn't know who he was until he beat Kelly. I'm glad he beat Kelly as I'm not a fan of him. But I'd actually have wanted Kelly to win that if I'd any idea of the nonsense that would follow with this 'Benns scared of Avanesyan crap'. I like the Ramirez fight. Not only because I like it for Benn, but I also like Ramirez. And if Benn loses he loses and I have no issues with it being to Ramirez, who is one one of the sports true gentlemen.

But he wanted fights with Thurman and Porter lol?

But yeah it's clear to see what they're doing with their matchmaking. Which isn't all that unusual.

I'm going to DM Floyd Mayweather later with an offer to fight him. On the moon. Next Tuesday.

So I guess you could say my fight is "in negotiations"..... "targeted for 05/18"

I agree. It's the criticism of fighters I don't like, if it's over the top and unmerited.
