This was the first beating he took in his career. He got clipped by Charlo only in the fight but aside from that he has not taken punishment in any fight. Got buzzed vs Gausha and Rosario, but that was only one moment in both fights and aside from that he didn't take many shots in either fight.

Fundora is nor really a normal fighter. He's 6ft6 fighting at 154lbs. He just looked alot stronger than lubin in there the guy could fill out and go to light heavyweight or something

They say, be first. Fundora sends punches from a different time zone. In a way, Fundora does use his reach. On the way in, he gets off two or three free shots.

whoa - and out of left-field comes a completely unbacked and unfounded insinuation - Lubin was upper-cutted to pulp - all his facial deep skin layers suffered trauma - this is what a severe beating looks like

I think he'll have trouble recovering mentally - huge obstacle - sacrifice months to a training camp, have a high expectation of yourself as a winner and future champion, and then fall massively short - all of the expectations were false and all the sacrifice was for nothing - and if it takes another 4 years to get back to the same stage ? can he sacrifice another 4 years of his life?

He had a great body attack but simply wasn’t consistent with it. That was his key to victory.
he hardly executed at all - he needed lateral movement. His ring IQ in this fight verged on imbecilic

Brutal fight for Lubin; he showed all the heart he could muster to get off the canvas and survive, then another onslaught occurs a couple rounds later and he's on the brink, but then answers back and drops Fundora which buys him time... but then another beating starts with the hematoma in the middle of his face worsening, both eyes crushed in, then all of a sudden the jaw baloons up. He definitely left some pieces of himself in there, ****. He worked his way back to contention and gave it all he had even if ya think he fought with the wrong tactics; all respect to him in a great fight.

And yet Fundora was down on the cards?! Its not as if this damage was caused in just one round; it was consistent throughout the fight. So why did the judges not have him winning?
Some would claim corruption, but I dont think thats the case. The truth is, and I’ve been banging this drum for a while, this feels like pretentious judges rewarding defense and ‘ring generalship’ over actual landed punches.

Everyone could see Fundora was landing more, and consistently landing better. But since everyone could see it, judges have to reward something else- so as to establish their superior knowledge relative to the masses. So they look at defense, well Fundora doesnt display a traditionally good defense, he just volume punches- so points to Lubin. Moreover, Lubin was moving more around the ring and forcing Fundora to come at him, ergo he is the ring general. Again advantage Lubin. Lastly, Lubin landed at a better pct, so in their mind he was more effective in his aggression.
As opposed to most, who see Fundora landing the cleaner better shots, landing more (ergo: effective in his aggression); these judges have to prove their superiority by being contrarian. This nearly cost a rightful winner
