Very well may never be the same. But to act like he's been a punching bag and needs to retire at the age of 26 is a bit unfair. Let him rest up and continue on with his career if that's what he wants to do.

I really don't understand Lubin's gameplan here. Fighting in the inside sounds like a good idea vs a 6'5 guy, but it should have been obvious that wasn't going to work. However fighting midrange was going very well for Lubin. He should have kept turning him and using the jab to the stomach, over hand left combination.

Sometimes your opponent does not let you implement the game plan you want to use. In the first round, Lubin boxed and controlled the distance and pace but Fundora amped it up in the 2nd round and didn't let Lubin fight the same way. You can't just box a guy you can't hold off. Fundora has a very good chin so even when Lubin landed flush, it did not deter Fundora at all.

What is normal about Fundora? He lands punches launched from outer space. Head on with him is like walking into a tornado.
