All this WOKE white supremacy racist crap is just garbage talk !! It’s a Power MOVE OF THE LEFT! So tired of hearing It it is all so ******!!
Boxing is not about which race is the Best !! There is not one race better than the other! I am an American and pull for a Ukrainian without apology! I pulled for Wilder in the first Fury Fight but after Fury got off the canvas I pulled for him in the last two wilder fights. I was a Cassius Clay fan an ALI FAN. I didn’t agree with his religion or politics but I loved him as a fighter ! Boxing should be COLORBLIND!
how bout growing up and getting over the far Past !!

Bud chose to sign with Arum and then resign with Top Tank even after he knew he couldn’t get the fights people wanted to see him in. That’s on him and him only. Losers make excuses and blame others when things don’t go their way.
Bud seemed just fine taking easy touch fights and losing Arum money for years.
So it’s Crawford’s fault that the longest standing and well known promotional company in the sport couldn’t land him the big fights right? That’s bozo talk. You’re way too transparent, you only want to blame Crawford because you feel threatened by him as a canelo fan since he’s arguably the main threat to him as a p4p fighter. The only thing stopping him from being #1 is the fact that he’s avoided while Canelo is not, so it fits your fan boy narrative to blame him instead of admitting the reality that his promotional company failed him while the other top welters avoided him.

That's what's he's paid to do. Period. Remember....Bob also didn't give him the Pac fight that was also promised in the initial contract...people forget that. That was reason he signed with Top Rank in the first place.

Bob's definitely not a racist, but seriously needs to bring in some Fresh eyes to bring them up with the times. Because as you say...this isn't the old days. Top Rank needs to step their game up because they're falling by the wayside.

Doesnt matter how much the promoter does, if the fighter wont engage with media or participate with the promotion then its all for naught.

Bob this and Bob that. Can't you guys get it through your thick skulls that BOB sdoes not RUN Top Rank any more. He enjoys the Las Vegas atmosphere and likes being jinterviewed because after all he founded Top Rank and ran it most successfully for many years. Signed and lavishly paid for a multitude of black fighters. 26 Ali fights, one of which was his first ever promotion, because he's been asked by a friend to do it.

TODD DE BOEUF has been running Top Rank for the past 20 years since Bob handed it over to him He runs Top Rank, Bob is only enjoying the past few years of active life as much as he can.

But as far as I remember that was it. oh, the 154-168 stuff (though that was his team, not him)

All Crawford had to do was come out with something like "I'm the baddest mother****er between 140 and 154 - all the PBC guys hiding from me, and Top Rank cold have arranged some crossover photoshoots - have Bud giving some boxing classes to some rappers or guitarists (whatever) - have them give lessons to him drumming - I'm making this stuff up - but it's not rocket science.

Point is, Crawford is a better boxer than Golovkin - but Golovkin who can still barely string a sentence together will likely walk away from the sport wealthier than 99% of US fighters active when he was - including Bud.
If it's not Rocket Science to you , it certainly is not tot Top Rank. Likely Crawford wouldn't do it.

Bob was always to busy finding new talent, and ways to make more money for himself.

Racism is costly, by that I mean, you cut your ability to generate more money by alienating talent & audiences.

some fights just cant be made. Should Crawford have to accept an 80-20 split Spences way, in order to get the fight made? Guess what, Haymon couldnt get Spence-Crawford made either. Neither guy is willing to take the shorter stack. So the fight cant get made, at least not at this point. What do you think Bob should have done to get the fight made? Point a gun to Spences head? And the same goes for the rest of the PBC guys that refused to even consider a Crawford bout....

Not true. He can't help being old. If you're lucky you'll be old yourself one day. And he certainly is NOT greedy. If he does NOT make a profit he's OUT OF BUSINESS, and he has been lavishly paying his fighters for many years. This is well known , and many doe not earn their money...like Crawford for instance, Nor Rigondeaux. Arum said IN THIS SITE, that they are both very good fighters , well trained, but have absolutely NO charisma and other promoters shy away from them and he loses money each time they fight. (paraphrased)

How can you blame Arum...He carried them long after they'd shown they were money losers. And always paid them VERY well.

Yes it is. Crawford knew what Top Rank’s stable was when he signed. He should have also known that history says Arum doesn’t work well with other promoters. If he didn’t then he’s an idiot.
And even if he was an idiot then after the first contract he should have known he wasn’t getting any big fights sticking with Arum. He made that decision to stay. He knew at his age he was giving up opportunities and money.
You may give him a pass for being content to hide behind Arum instead of chasing greatness…but I don’t.
