Well here's the thing, PPV is quite obviously a relic. And the prices expected of the consumer ought to make it downright unsustainable, so I'm glad someone else is making the point.
But on the flip side, how are subscriptions gonna work and at what kind of price? I mean, how much boxing does the average person in the U.S. watch per year? This isn't like Netflix, where there's an (apparently) wide range of programs for all types to get into. We're talking about a single-product platform.
Really, I dream of boxing being so popular that adverts alone fund it like the Super Bowl, (well, its free-to-air in the UK), but obv. that will never happen
