Whatever Taylor does next will show what kind of champion he is. Is he going to run away or is he going to face it and give this guy a rematch to prove tjat it wasn't a fluke?

Too bad for Catterall. He deserved the win but too many bad decisions in boxing. Taylor must give him a rematch. Forget Taylor vs Crawford--Taylor is not in the same league. A challenge for Crawford would be Charlo.

With the knock down, Catteral would only need 6 rounds to win the fight while Taylor needs 7.

I do wonder if the judges that scored it for Taylor penalized Catterall in their scoring for this and viewed Jack as being the culprit.
That's got to be it - Taylor lost the fight but I tell you what, I absolutely despise Catteral's method of victory and he should have had multiple point deductions for clinching. The ref must have waved his finger at Caterall at least once and sometimes twice every round - Taylor was guilty too but I give him more benefit of the doubt because he didn't clinch much in previous fights.
I saw highlights of Caterall's previous fight and he fought cleanly but based on this evidence I've got zero interest in watching him going forwards. This was potentially a similar upset to that of Kombosos but at least that fight wasn't a clinch fest and I'm happy to watch George going forward.

The only way Taylor can fix this is by demand a rematch to make things right, if not he will become a villain in Great Britain, british boxing fans will keep bringing up his fight with catterall, needs to rematch.

The fans and the media gotta stay on his neck until he agrees to the rematch!

Yes agreed. The ref seemed to be on Caterall’s case about the holding and clinching much more than Taylor and I wonder if it impacted how the judges scored the rounds as it relates to ring generalship and defense. They may have thought Jack needed to hold. I do think Catterall landed more clean punches in the first 8 rounds and was out boxing and out fighting Josh but the clinching and holding really tapered the action. This is the dullest fight I’ve seen Taylor in and it was my first time seeing Catterall. I don’t agree with Carl Froch’s assertion that Caterall threw away the fight in the final rounds as while I believe Taylor came on, Caterall continued to have his moments and wasn’t giving away rounds. I really feel for Jack as he looked the be the deserved winner and this decision has huge economic consequences immediately and sets his career back.

Taylor has to be the worst undisputed champion I have ever seen. He just barely gets passed everyone he fights. Also, jack won that fight…clearly the judges were on the rob
