I feel like the boxing board in the UK are so terrified of the British boxing bubble bursting That they have the dump all over the sport to make the fights that fit their dream narrative. The referee didn’t seem in on the fix but none of the judges were on Catterall’s side

Saw the fight, the Guy won, he will never ever get a shot at undisputed again, i feel his pain, this was his fight and the judges took away a mans dream at history, taylor said he is moving up, once he does the belts are vacant and scattered. Catteral got screwed if he won it would have been historical would have went down as one of the biggest upsets for undisputed up there with kambosos winComment

It pretty much is, he has no name, he basically gave Josh Taylor his toughest fight, and has nothing to show for it, you know what happens next he becomes avoided because he is high risk no reward. Its a shame, No spoils this is his livelihood this win would be life changing for him he would get endorsements locally and his pay scale increases and his stature.
Now he will just become another one of boxings avoided fighters who suffer because promoters dont want to put their fighters against him.
Bob Arum will not allow Taylor to rematch, but if Taylor wants to save his reputation he needs to stay in shape and give this man a rematch and shut all doubt before moving up, thats the only way if he moves up and never gives catterall another crack it will be a stain.Comment

That would help i would say yes, judges clearly know who they should be giving the nod to & often bend over backwards to get the job done with many embarrassing cards resulting from this, they are clearly too close with promoters etc to be impartial

Gotta agree he probably wont get another shot quite like this one.
Im just saying, he's not too old, he's got the skills, he's gotta look at it as just a setback to reaching his dream.Comment

More than that, there should be a rule stating that - in case of a controversial decision - a neutral panel reviews and eventually re-scores the fight within 48-72 hours, thus giving the win to the right man if applicable.
On the other hand, corruption could arrive there as well...Comment

Disgraceful decision, I don't blame Catterall for feeling this way. They took his dream away and food off his table. He would have landed some big money fights had they got it right. I feel for the man, this is an opportunity that will never come his way again.Comment

Its boxing brother, Catterall has the goods and proved himself but got robbed, you know what happens to guys like Cattrall who are good fighters, but have no fanbase? unless they get the belts they are chasing fights, and avoided, I feel bad for this guy no promoter will put him in against their star cows now, sad stuff.

Lets see if Taylor will go up or drop a belt instead of giving him a rematch.
