boxing could learn a lot from sumo. In sumo the ref is the only judge and carries a wakasashi short sword. If he gives 3 wrong decisions in his career he’s still expected to commit ritual suicide and disembowel himself in the ring. i’ve been watching boxing for over 40 years and i’ve never heard of a bookies refunding all bets due to a bad decision before - apparently paddy power refunded all bets on Caterall. unbelievably bad decision. the BBBC need to have a long serious look at the accountability of their judges as they’ve lost a lot of credibility the world over because of this decision. right up there with CJ Ross’s draw for Mayweather Canelo. unreal.

The solution to this is very simple but yet many morons on this site don’t agree with this solution. Which is declare a unofficial winner the night of the fight then a second scoring of the fight with video by judges to officially announce the winner of the fight the next day or that night. This isn’t rocket science

There's too much talk about this fight as a robbery. Taylor needs to rematch Catterall. Andre Ward said it perfectly. Taylor is going to hear Catterall's name everywhere he goes, for perhaps the rest of his life. Taylor is the better fighter. Taylor needs to decisively defeat Catterall to remove the stain on his record. Plus, a rematch is the biggest fight out there for Taylor. Sorry; Taylor vs. Teo or Barboza are not as big a fights.

I scored it 8-4 to Catterall. Taking into account the 10-8 round and the point deductions, I make that 115-110. How the feck Ian John Lewis had it 114-111 for Taylor I cannot imagine. He should have his licence revoked.

You could say that for just about any ATG there's been. They have bad nights at the office against decent fighters. Look at Robinson against Turpin? Was nothing but a decent fighter going in and he dominated. Ali lost against a decent fighter 3 times in Norton. But one things for sure, it doesn't erase their previous work nor did it stop them from beating world class fighters going forward.

I do hope you're trolling. If you're Scottish, please get some self-respect and stop living in denial.

Taylor keeps calling out Crawford...he needs to stop that ASAP. Crawford beats him from pillar to post without a doubt. AND WE ALL KNOW THAT IF THAT WAS CRAWFORD WHO KNOCKED HIM DOWN...IT'S OVER!!! HE'S NOT MAKING IT OUT OF THE ROUND. HE'S A KILLER!!

Taylor stay away from Crawford unless you truly want you @ss beat.

Ask your countryman Ricky Burns about that Crawford work.
Ricky Burns was shot and still went 12 rounds. Crawford isn't close to how people describe him. He's still the fighter who was lit up by a Featherweight and did the bambi legs. He's still the fighter well behind on points against Porter until he forced the issue. But you won't be able to get away with that against world class fighters. They'll take serious advantage of him moving in. If it was as easy as that, everybody would just finish fights right when they wanted to. But it doesn't work like that.

The ref must have waved his finger at Caterall at least once and sometimes twice every round - Taylor was guilty too but I give him more benefit of the doubt because he didn't clinch much in previous fights.
I saw highlights of Caterall's previous fight and he fought cleanly but based on this evidence I've got zero interest in watching him going forwards. This was potentially a similar upset to that of Kombosos but at least that fight wasn't a clinch fest and I'm happy to watch George going forward.
Catterall was the one keeping it at distance. But due to getting out-boxed, Taylor then forced himself on the inside to make it rough. It was all Taylor. Of course Catterall was going to smother him at times and not let him rough-house him. Taylor has done this in spots in lots of fights. But he hasn't been dominated and out-boxed the way he was with Catterall so he went crazy with it. Hell, he even intentionally headbutted Catterall by pretending he was going in with a punch. He wanted to give him a cut like he had and hoped it would take Catterall out of his game. It still didn't work.

We must have been watching a very different fight.

Where are you from in the UK by the way?

You're very deluded. Ndongo was a bum who beat nothing but a shot Ricky Burns. Prograis beat the shlt out of him and stopped him too. We saw what Taylor did with Prograis. Then you have the other actual world class wins he has.

You do have to laugh though when Ndongo is one of your best wins. Just shows how shockingly bad Crawford's resume is. Don't forget the great Jeff Horn either.

I saw the fight after knowing the result I thought Jack edged it but there was nothing in the first 4 and last 4 rounds.when I heard talk about a robbery I was expecting an absolute boxing lesson given to taylor but thats not what I saw .
