they didnt order the fight. loma just wanted more flexibility in making better fights like against lopez and he didnt want to waste his time if the wbc ordered it fighting a guy who had never fought anyone like haney. now of course people like to revise history and make up stuff pretending he avoided haney even though the reality is haney wasnt relevant at all, but loma has never been against the fight. he even said make me a big offer or im fighting lopez...dazn offered nothing so he fought the #1 guy in the division...duck? even after the lopez fight, loma contacted haneys team to make a fight but they totally ignored him and fought linares instead. finally haney gets to fight the guy who was ducking him! oh he doesnt want to fight him anymore? did haney try to fight loma when loma was available...no he went after jojo diaz hmm ok. after kambosos won haney went for that fight and made offers to kambosos, yet never made any to loma.

They may not have ordered the fight, but it was coming. So if you know it's coming as your the mandatory, why are you gonna go and make a big offer? You wait for it to be ordered, then enter a negotiation period. But Haney didn't get that chance as they applied for franchise. Why did they not file for exemption? Then he could have fought Lopez for undisputed, but instead they requested franchise knowing that the winner would be able to avoid Haney, as franchise is not a world title and has no mandatories. Exemption is the tried and tested system that has been used for years, but with the creation of this franchise nonsense, Top Rank saw a way, not only to circumvent Haney, but to ensure the winner wouldn't need to go near him. Call it a **** move or call it a duck move. I call it both.

Haney is not going to fight NO ONE! He loves attaching his name to whoever is got the belts or winning and taking big RISK fights but is all to piggy back of them to try and build his name! He wont fight NO ONE as always and will hold on to title for dear life that was GIFTED to him cause thats the only thing thats barely keeping his career afloat!

It's the biggest risk and the biggest money. It's worth rolling the dice. He has home advantage. Yeah, he probably thinks he can get a decision. I'm sure he knows the risk, and wants to be paid accordingly.

Loma is entitled, he is cutting the line ….again and while I don’t hate the match up, I’d prefer a unification with the younger fighters who are supposed to be the future. Loma got robbed, nothing happened in that Teo - Loma fight. Nothing to convince anyone that Lopez somehow 'beat' Loma. Beat him how ? No activity from both guys the whole fight, should've been scored a draw.

all you did is prove my point with the bolded comment. How is he supposed to deserve or earn it if loma wouldn’t fight him whe he was mandatory and if loma is jumping in front of him again? And what did loma do to deserve a title shot in his 2nd and 3rd pro fights? And don’t give me any amateur record nonsense because that’s irrelevant to your ranking as a pro.

I never said Haney hadn’t earned it. I’d have no issue with Kambosos-Haney, just as I have no issue with Kambosos-Loma. Both are good fights and make complete sense. Kambosos vs Haney is for all 4 ABC’s and Kambosos vs Loma is #1 vs #2 in the division.

I only took issue with you claiming Loma hadn’t earned it which is absolute nonsense. The bold is me putting it into perspective to show that Loma has as many wins against top 10 guys post Teofimo as Haney has in his entire career. Yet you’re laughably claiming Loma is the guy who’s is undeserving.

Loma was a 2x Olympic and 2x World Amateur champion so was matched aggressively, he beat a WBO ranked fighter in his first pro fight so became a ranked contender and Salido fought him in a voluntary defence. What’s the issue with that? What’s the point in wasting time when he was clearly ready, he literally beat a future 7 year reigning Featherweight champion in his third fight.

If he “had his time already” that would mean he can’t beat these young guys who are supposed to be the future. But the truth is he still can and probably will beat them.

im not sure what you want him to do. If he’s still physically capable of fighting for and winning titles he should say “nah, I should let these other young guys fight, I had my chance to win these titles already.” ?
