To think this all started with Michael Hunter who turned him down for what seems like ages ago who went on to have a draw with Jerry Forrest.

It's a shame Gassiev is still dealing with an injury because I suspect he would have taken it to accelerate his campaign at HW. I imagine it would have been an entertaining fight between two guys with pedigree.

McKean doesn't seem to be anywhere near ready and I doubt he's in a rush. Zhang is up there in age and he seems to want it. He's not that good but he's big and appears to have heavy hands.

Maybe Hrgovic hasn't been focused in recent fights because of the level of opposition but he's been touched in exchanges. I expect him to smoke Zhang without much issue but if he's sloppy and let's Big **** land cleans who knows what could happen.

From the perspective of promoting the sport it would be incredibly ****** to waste Zhang. He should be a title fight for Fury or Usyk/Joshua, and the fight must be in Beijing or Shanghai where Boxing was big in the 1920s.

I have a hunch Demsey McKean might take the fight. I just get that vibe, some big crazy Crocodile Dundee type mother****er. Mind you this is just from watching three minutes of highlight reels but I think he’s in lol.

Michael Hunter, much like everyone else, didn't want to be paid peanuts.

So he went and got much more money from Triller instead.

Frank Sanchez isn't ranked by the IBF.

Totally agree! I have said this a few times about boxing in Asia. Japan & China are 2 countries that draw large crowds to big events. When that Fujimoto guy was ranked the WBO Parker considered making a voluntary defence against him in Japan. I think Dubois smashed him in England shortly after…
