    If GGG Had

Let's face it, he waited his whole career to protect his 0 and cherry pick Canelo Alvarez, which went wrong.

What about if he had focused on his legacy instead of fighting bums. How would have have done against the top champs at 160, 168, and 175. Peter Qullin? Andy Lee, BJS? Andre Ward and Direll, Froch, Bute, Jack, Abraham, Steveson, Kovalev?

He was a late bloomer coming to America in his late 20s. I think that's why he took the easy money and being afraid of being shut out. He broke Kov's ribs in sparring and was beating up in sparring every other Heavyweight up there in Big Bear.

Would he have beaten Kovalev in his prime?

But let's be real, was Alvarez a harder fight than the fights the true fans wanted, Ward, Froch, Kovalev, Stevenson? **** no, Alvarez was the low risk big money fight compared to those. He beat up on canelo in sparring when he was 18 and thought it would be easy.

he fought 2 top guys in lemiuex and jacobs and he also made offers to Saunders and quillin which were turned down. he was literally scheduled to fight lee but his dad died so no fight and then lee lost to saunders...then ggg made him a legit offer(saunders words) but saunders didnt take the fight so not really sure what ggg could have done there?

he literally did the opposite of what you are claiming because he didnt know if canelo would ever fiight him so he just continued his career. trying to fight all the top guys in the division.

also he doesnt have to fight guys in other divisions thats reaching but froch retired instead of fighting ggg and ward got exposed in court for ducking every good fight that hbo wanted: ggg, bute, froch. thats why the judge ruled in his promoters favor and extended his deal, his promoter got him fights they just weren't ones ward wanted. ward wanted dmitri sartison and hbo said no! then wards offer in 2015 forced ggg to postpone the canelo fight for a year so that was never happening.

those really are the only notable guys that were there during ggg's run. moving up to 175? ok i guess he could have done that but no one did that, not even canelo. canelo moved up 1 division to fight a worn kovalev. thats really the best you got there, but criticizing him for doing something no one else did or even tried to do? not very reasonable.

he already fought rocky fielding at 168 and he even marketed that as a championship fight. draining himself down to 160 for 1 final fight doesnt mean hes actually a 160 fighter and as you can see subsequently hes spent his career at 168 and above. and like i said moving up in weight to fight kovalev when hes on the slide is much different then when he was a force. canelo wont even fight beterbiev right now and canelo has been a champ in the same division as beterbiev so that should tell you timing is everything. pretty hard to criticize ggg for not moving up 2 divisions to fight a prime monster. even when roy jones moved up to heavy he fought a good solid fighter in ruiz ranked 4-5 but he didnt fight lennox or klitschko.
