What about if he had focused on his legacy instead of fighting bums. How would have have done against the top champs at 160, 168, and 175. Peter Qullin? Andy Lee, BJS? Andre Ward and Direll, Froch, Bute, Jack, Abraham, Steveson, Kovalev?
He beat 10 guys ranked inside top 10 and 4 guys ranked inside the top 4. When you can’t secure the big fights, you should continue to fight the top contenders. You know, what Charlo and Andrade haven’t done…

Alvarez was the guy who aged GGG out. I think Canelo will deservedly go down as the better fighter but he avoided GGG for years.

        1. GGG avoided no one.
        2. It was Canelo who almost(actually did) have HIS cherry picking backfire by getting beat in the first fight,a fight shouldve taken place nearly 2 years prior. But because he knew GGG was still too dangerous what did he do? He relinquished his WBC belt, hid in his own made up 155lb division and cried he wasn't a "Middleweight"....yet here we are a few years later and the guy struggles to even make 168?? Those are FACTS and no way to rewrite that history no matter how hard his knob slobbers try.

As far as those fantasy matchups,he beats all of them sans Ward and Froch. Id say Froch would be 50/50 and I would have favor Ward. As ugly as his game/style was there's no denying that man was born a winner/spoiler and did whatever it took to get that win...nut shots included.

He always wanted/needed to be the bigger man.

Of course in the ring he found out twice getting a W against Alvarez wasn’t possible for him, hence cherry-pick gone wrong.

Ive always said the first fight was close because Alvarez had no time to adjust to the weight and needed more time. After they fought the second time Alvarez just pulled away even further.
Personally he won the first fight and i had Canelo taking the second fight. my issue with GGG Is that he never wanted to challenge himself and go up in weight . Rather he wanted to go back down in weight and fight a Welterweight

forcing the champion of a division to move up to the division hes champ in? yeah how dare he do that! and cherry pick implies you are fighting someone easy instead of someone better. who wasnt ggg fighting by going after canelo? the top guys in the division were lemiuex(ggg fought) jacobs(ggg fought) and saunders(turned down the fight and said it was too risky) he wasnt just saying oh well i cant get canelo i guess ill fight glass joe. he even had interest in fighting froch and ward at 168 but those fights didnt get made(froch retired and ward didnt want it as proven in court) so now people are moving the goalposts and saying he should have fought at 175? ok thats reasonable...

is time the thing canelo needed more of? or was it something else...

yeah but the problem with your issue is that its not true. froch and ward both didnt want to fight him so why move up if its not anyone notable? you shouldnt move up just for the sake of picking up a belt, thats kinda lame to me. if you are going to move up make it count and those big fights at 168 just never lined up, froch retired instead of fighting ggg and ward only wanted easy fights according to the court who ruled against ward.

Ward didnt want to fight GGG a weight class smaller than him rather he wanted to move up and fight a soft touch in Kovalev?? GGG coach said he will beat anyone from 154 to 168 but only wanted to entertain Ward at 164

Use your head pendejo…Alvarez was all that, yes, but he was the smaller Jr Middleweight. Of course GGG chased him for the fight, Canelo was small as ***.

When did GGG ever call out Ward or any other much bigger super middleweight in the other direction? That’s right, never.

Nah, never happened. He wanted 154lb, 5’7” Alvarez because he thought he could smash the smaller man.

That’s a cherry pick gone wrong broski.
