Why are people hating on Connor Benn?

I think Broner will catch him at some point. He hits hard enough to hurt and KO Benn without a doubt. They have been guiding Benn away from anyone with anything other than pillow fists for a reason, and Broner hopefully knows it's win or bust for him. Great chance for him to make a name for himself in the UK if the fight is here. Broner 2.0. Nash out.Comment

I don't have an issue with Benn. He comes off a little ****sure and entitled to some, no idea if that's the reality. He's been matched well based on his experience level, they have put him in against recognizable names that were selected at a point in their careers where they were a bit of a softer touch.
The names he's mentioning next are an evolution of that process, guys who were an even higher level than the previous group of opponents yet still shopworn and/or less motivated.
I think this type of process, which isn't afforded to most fighters in their careers, annoys some and they'd like to see him take too big of a step and get smashed. That's just my opinion.Comment

Because he says things like “What more do I have to do?” When he hasn’t even fought anyone in the Top 10.Comment

This. He's acting like he's entitled to a World title when he lost clearly to Peynaud and was gifted a decision. He's beaten some feather-fists and has beens and talks like he's Tommy Hearns and the world is afraid of him.
If his old man wasn't a legend he'd be an undercard fighter nobody would care about but he's made good money already for doing basically nothing but living off the Benn name.Comment

The problem with that is that he looks like he is picking opponents that he can beat and it looks like a money grab instead of a fighter that wants to be taken seriously.Comment
