Why are people hating on Connor Benn?

If I were to sum up Benn in the last couple of years, it would be that he's better than I thought he was. Probably Euro level, will maybe get a world title shot and lose.

BUT, he's exciting. He looks for the KO, he's quick and he's vulnerable. What not to like? He's going all out until he gets KOd at least.

People seem to be using Avanesyan to crap on Benn, but David is world level, he should be fighting for a title now, not calling out a kid who is barely Euro level.

All a bit wierd to me.

So why are people so quick to hate on Connor to the point we're happy when a world title contender is calling him out (who left Matchroom for Queensbury so has 0% chance of making that fight)?

That's ok, he's young and has time. These fights are raising his profile for sure.

I don't think it the fighter himself it is the undue hype he gets from some people. I say the more top fighters the merrier. At bad as Algieri was he dealt with him like he should have. Time to step it up but he calls out named over the hill fighters.

But these names are all raising his profile, so they have a purpose.

He'll be pretty well known if he makes it to world level.

I don't think anyone thinks he wins a world title right now do they? Why not build?
