Beterbiev's punches are like sledgehammers. I think Canelo is not going to fight him after seeing that blood bath.
Sure Canelo will fight him but only when the timing is right. Meaning ..when Beterbiev slows down, gets older etc. Trust me, Canelo won't be calling out Beterbiev after this fight. The biggest fight in boxing would be Canelo vs Beterbiev in May. But not a chance . Canelo won't take a serious risk. He's making too much money facing paper titled stiffs . C'mon Canelo , forget that fraud at 190, stop off at 175 on the way and make a superfight. Canelo vs Beterbiev . May the best man win.

If Canelo was smart though, he'd wait for the killers at 175 to fight and damage each others first and to do all the unification work first and then he can get in there and fight the reigning worn-out, unified or even undisputed champion.
I was thinking, "Dang, man is gonna be lightheaded soon."

The only bad part of this whole deal was how awful the rest of the card was. This was a title defense and they filled the card with guys who spent all week sitting on the couch, eating chips out of a bag, with chip crumbs all over their shirts.

Is this the promoter's fault? He deserves more respect than that.

Not a real one who was prepared for a cut. Obviously no Adrenaline Chloride, Aventine, and Thrombin in the corner. The trainer just wung it.

Yeah. I hear you. Canelo and all his maneuvering to make the fights only causal fans appreciate. But he has to fight someone. He doesn't have any opponent lined up that I'm aware of. I think the Makabu fight is off for May because of Makabu's mandatory. So maybe it's Beterbiev ... Clenelo is no longer on year round VADA testing, so I think all that T in his system will give him the courage to schedule it.

I like Bivol. Always have. But Beterbiev is just too solid of a 175er . Too strong. Punches like an ox. Yes it would be a great matchup, a great fight but I truly believe Bivol is a natural 170. Beterbiev is a true 175. Bivol would survive till 10th.

I'll give Browne the first two rounds. Not more. Beterbiev stepped it up in Rd 3 with the jabs and movement. Soon after, he was worried about a stoppage and had more urgency.

However, I don't know what his capacity is at this point, but it seems like he was trying to pace himself. Maybe he was just stalking, but I remember more action vs Gvozdyk.

Do some cut men actually carry adrenaline chloride on them? That's weird. And what's aventine?

You'd think they would hire one of the previous cut man from any of the other undercard fights, wouldn't that make sense?
