I agree. I thought it was obvious Loma saw Commey was hurt bad and backed off but some fans are literally blinded by hate and if they don't like a fighter than that fighter is 100% bad with no redeeming qualities. It's hilarious.

I don't understand the hate, he still dominated rounds 9 through 12, landing around 30 punches each round to Commey's 5, you rarely see guys that active today, most are content not to work for most of the round.

Hate? C'mon. There's way too much crying in this thread.

Loma dominated and looked good. Just because I'm not saying "Loma the merciful chose to be kind to Commey out of compassion" or whatever isn't hating.

Oh yeah there are worse comparisons for sure. It seems like every young black fighter between 130-147 is the “next Floyd”. First Broner, it’s then Tank, Haney, Stevenson, Ennis. It’s ridiculous.

Funny how Tank Davis doesn't land more than 15 punches in a single round against this cruz guy, meanwhile loma's landing more than 30 in many rounds and you got haters talking about how Tank was Brilliant and Loma a bum, stop with the hate, I keep it equal

Same wth Campbell, although I gave Campbell more rounds than Pedraza. And Linares won 4-5 rounds on my card. To me his performance against Commey was better, clearly won most if not all rounds against a solid fighter who nobody had ever rly outboxed like that before.
To me it was how Loma was winning, as much as anything. If you can dominate all the guys in your era, in your division, that is maybe legendary.

If you are struggling to beat a few of the average guys in your division, in your era, well you are just a good fighter in your era.

Loma had both of things going at once for a while.

He simply missed the window of opportunity. When he had him in trouble he tried to walk the high road and expect his corner to stop the beating that was going on, while he should have just stayed in predator mode and pressed his attack. By the next round Commey had his legs underneath him and rode out the decision loss.

He definitely had that going at 126 and 130, he seems to be able to win pretty easy against anyone not in the top 3-4 at 135, I just don't think he's heavy handed enough to keep them honest the way a Tank Davis, or even Teo or Ryan is.

Yeah he's not a very big guy I don't think. Hopefully all those guys mix it up in 2022. Good posts.

I was impressed how he seemed less afraid to stand in the pocket and **** with Commey who definitely can punch. Maybe he has more confidence now against the bigger guys, don't know. Maybe he doesn't, but to me the last 2 fights have been a solid improvement compared to his performances against Campell, Pedraza, Linares where he was definitely giving away rounds.
