Did Lomachenko CHOOSE to not stop Commey?

Don’t get me wrong, there were times when certain people were trying to compare him to the GOAT’s of the sport which I thought was way over the top and I get that creates negativity. However, like him or not, Loma is a future first ballot hall of fame inductee, who’s achieved an incredible amount in just 18 fights. He definitely deserves some more respect from some posters.
Right, it's insane. And couple that with the 2 gold medals as an amateur - whatever one thinks about ams, he was still a very special fighter there. 1 loss in like 400 fights or whatever.
I feel like there are a lot of other guys that are easier to hate on....Loma wouldn't be the guy that I single out.Comment

I said it during the fight. He clearly backed off of him and wasnt putting as much on his punches post the knock down. I dont know why this is such a controversial thing. Many, many boxers have carried fighters the distance rather than ko them brutally.Comment

Loma's never been a finisher, he isn't heavy handed. His accuracy is just really good so he has that ability to land that perfectly placed punch, like he did in round 7, or that body shot against Linares.Comment

I think at 130, I could see the comparisons to 'legend' status. Still had more to do, but I saw something special.

At 135, his first few fights, it definitely took the shine off for me. Pedraza, Linares, Campbell and Teo were overall pretty average performances for someone of his supposed status. I don't remember my Pedraza score, but I basically had him 50/50 in rounds in those other 3 fights.
Last 2 wins have been really good though. Maybe he is settling at the weight. He's just not a very big guy. Not many legends really that don't go up to at least 147 or WW. I can't think of too many big names off the top of my head.
To be a real legend I feel like he has to do a bit more though. Beating Taylor clearly at 140, a couple wins like that maybe.Comment

Commey to me is on the level of Pedraza, Linares, Campbell, you gotta be a top fighter in the division to beat those guys, but def not legendary. He handled Pedraza pretty easy I thought just wasn't an overwhelming or dominating win, but I think he did have him down in the 11th and really closed the show. Same wth Campbell, although I gave Campbell more rounds than Pedraza. And Linares won 4-5 rounds on my card. To me his performance against Commey was better, clearly won most if not all rounds against a solid fighter who nobody had ever rly outboxed like that before.
