Kind of Funny…Considering he used the same logic to justify suppressing promotion of Floyd Mayweather, in favor of Oscar de la Hoya when they were both in his stable.
But as soon as Floyd left Top Rank and became Money Mayweather…Well….We See What Happened Next!

it is absurd to think that a fight between the two highest ranked welterweights is... inconceivable... WTF?
FACT: Mayweather does whatever he wants, period... if he wants something to happen, then it will happen... that fight would happen in a goat shed in Upper Mongolia if Mayweather decided to make it happen... that is a fact... Bradley was ranked #1 by The Ring, and Mayweather would view him as a highly beatable opponent... I am sure that Mayweather would prefer Bradley over Guerrero, which happened in May 2013
I bet Bradley wanted that fight LMAO
forget Mayweather, Bradley never got ANY of those fights Terry... no Thurman, no Porter, no Broner, no Spence, no Danny Garcia, no Khan, no Brook, no Guerrero, no Malignaggi, no Maidana... surely the excuses have to stop at some point?
also... Bob "in-house" Arum made stars like Mosley/Marquez sign with Top Rank before they could fight Pacquiao... it is easy to see whats up, and why
FACT: immediately after signing with Top Rank, Bradley said this... " due to boxing politics, I may not fight the best "... so... he KNOWINGLY sold his legacy, for a Pacquiao payday... and as we can see now, with the benefit of hindsight... Bradley never fought ANY of the top welters except Pacquiao, not one
that really plssed me off... because like I said earlier, I was a big Bradley fan... I liked his attitude, and I liked how he always found a way to win... fights with Thurman, Porter, Broner, Spence, Danny Garcia, Khan, Brook, Guerrero, Malignaggi, Maidana... would have been GREAT
FACT: I have never seen a bigger list of misses, for a supposed top fighter... if you know a bigger list, I would love to hear it
...
I was not surprised at all that a mayweather-bradley fight never got any traction. At that point in Floyds career, he was pretty much exclusively fighting hispanic fighters. After Mosley in 2010 the only other black fighter Mayweather ever fought was the garbage fight against Berto to finish out the Showtime deal. Floyd / Haymon were very astute, and understood that to maximize Floyds earnings, the opponent preferably should have a different ethnicity and fanbase. Another black fighter adds nothing to the mix, as Floyd would already draw from that demo. Simply a business decision, and not incorrect (from a math/earnings standpoint)
As to your other point about Bradley's resume, I dont really disagree. Bradley was fine collecting his minimums, and accepted the position that "legacy" doesnt pay the bills. I suspect he also accepted that regardless of whatever desire he may or may not have had to fight this guy or that guy, most of those fights would be difficult if not impossible to make due to promotional conflicts. Alot of those guys were with Golden Boy around that time, and GB and TR were in a cold war and werent doing alot together. And you cant really put Spence in the mix because he was still fighting 8 rounders back then.
But Bradley was rather indifferent about it, agreed.

Boxing is a tribal sport...skills don't pay the bills, the tribe does. Canelo has a tribe, Pacquaio had a tribe, Floyd had a tribe (even haters are a tribe if they pay in hopes you'll lose)...Crawford doesn't have a fan base that rides with him. At 34, might be too late...even beating Spence won't do it. He should fight Charlo. Or even Golovkin whose a bigger man but Crawford would have a 4 inch reach advantage. TC might get wrecked but Golovkin is aging so who knows? He'd definitely get paid though and either fight would be a monster.
