But well, if Cruz still winning the rematch is a sure thing in future.

Based on the judges scorecards, a case can be made for a draw or Cruz victory. BLH gave Davis the 12th, but one judge gave that round to Cruz.

Cruz can walk away being proud of his performance. He came in as a potential addition to Davis' highlight reel (i.e. Canelo/Kirkland) and he arguably won the fight. However, now he will no longer have the element of surprise. I'm interested to see how he continues to progress.

He did not win the fight, but he should be proud of his performance! I think the best fights for him going forward are: Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero, or Michel Rivera! MAN UP!

The reason the fight went as it did was because of Davis hurt left. That left landed continuously and there was a sequence that he threw it 4 times in the row and they landed. Cruz forgot that he was also holding too because he didn't want to get counter hard. Too bad that Davis don't want to rematch him because it was a fun fight.

Davis won, it wasn't easy, he faced adversity and resorted to plan B. He has a plan B, he has recourse, that being said, watching the underdog perform beyond expectations is fun too. I don't see the down side to a good fight. Davis retained and Cruz upped his rep.

I would love to see Ryan Garcia fight him! I doubt it happens because of promoter politics! I knew he was a DOG before the fight! All the haters were calling him a cherry-pick, etc., because they DKSAB! Rolly would be good too! I don't understand what the WBA is going to do with Rolly? They ordered an eliminator for the title, but I thought they wanted that "Regular" title gone? Maybe they order Rolly to fight Rivera? If they don't I would love to see Pitbull get either the eliminator with Rivera, or a fight with Rolly!

Maybe Floyd tries to make Davis/Romero again, assuming Romero gets his issues cleared up.

Cruz needs to capitalize on this momentum, have him back in the ring in 3-4 months.

Some fighters give others problems. Styles make fights. Cruz is not a boxer but a pressure fighter. Davis is the better boxer. Can Ryan Garcia connect on Davis before Davis connects on him?
